hehe

At least we're not in a different hotel each night this time. Me and Josh might be able to get up and out with everyone else!

Not at all, Spa will give you unforgettable memories ;-)
In fact Eau rouge is the left turn before you go uphill, the part where it went is already Radillon spin

Han is correct. When the circuit was in it’s original 9 mile long format there was a sharp U turn at the bottom of the hill but the Belgians wanted Spa to be the fastest circuit so the old left hand Eau Rouge corner (called that because the water in stream running under that bit of the circuit is red due to the local soil) was pretty much removed and the track realigned up the hill instead. Although everyone thinks the hill and the dramatic corner at the top of it is Eau Rouge that is actually Raidillon.

I was sat there in 1999 when Jacques Villeneuve had what he described as his best ever crash during practice on Saturday morning. His team mate Ricardo Zonta did a similar thing shortly afterwards. BAR then had a load of parts flown out to the circuit so they could build 2 new cars overnight …

Turns 10 & 11 are also fantastic. Although they are officially known as Double Gauche it’s one double apex corner often called Pouhon. It’s at the bottom of a very steep hill and my passenger christened it as “Poo one” after our first couple of laps…

For those of you interested in the history of Spa, I think our Friday route to the circuit will take us along the old Masta straight which ran SE to Stavelot, although we’ll be going in the opposite direction to the "racing line". I’ll check the maps when home tonight.

I’ll take my anorak off now wink

Although I think the quickest are the red ones with the boot bags on when going down the side of the Alps driven by a looney...Melted my brake disk covers to keep up...
I'd like to point out that we only had the boot bag to make sure we went slow enough for the rest of you to keep up hehe

Your not getting that advantage this time!!

From what I can remember the fastest TVR is one that's driven by somebody that doesn't actually own it (Josh and me)! helps to have the boot bag though as a bigger target to aim at through the hairpins. Andy can blame his brakes but his biggest problem, probably was just that he did't have a co driver who was more of a loon (thinking about it that might be a tough order) LOL

...I don't know what you mean Greg..... http://www.flickr.com/photos/9836922@N07/509439664... - maybe I do wink

But this year I dont have those pesky brake covers, and weight has further been saved by removing the silly ventilation pipes. Once I have drilled holes into the engine block and filled the fuel tank with hydrogen, you will not see me for dust....but you have a point, my car, my insurance, mmmm
