What polishing machine?

Family has 3 cars and a boat so elbow grease alone is not enough when it comes to polishing. I would like to buy a polishing machine and a kit of discs etc that would do both gelcoat and car paint, largish areas on the boat and tricky smaller areas on the cars. Advice please and not overboard on cost if possible.

The DAS 6 Pro is normally the go to suggestion here, a good machine but not that cheap.
Your problem is the choice of pads/compounds for the tasks really, the chemical guys hex logic pads are very good and a polish something like rupes uno may be a good start for you to try.
Not sure how the rupes would do on a gelcoat though, farecla compounds were always the go to for that.
