well lads here is one for the books , i got a call from a man in roscommon last week saying he knew the whereabouts of another sierra van !!! took a chance yesterday and went down for a look and ended up buying , its in better shape than the white one and i actually had it running very quick despite it being parked up for over ten years ! the fun stated when we tried to extract it from its resting place , took about four hours enlisting the help of a chainsaw , sledge , pickaxe and numerous garden implements , oh and a very tasty bit if off road driving by declan rafter ( blackmagic) in his trusty landcruiser , demolishion and road building complete we finally faced her for the road and got her loaded on to declans trailer , she is now home and awaiting a good cleaning to see the extent of the restoration that awaits , as you will see in the pictures a dog took a liking to the interior and its fooked but i bought a donor car yesterday aswell with a good interior so we should be alright , a huge thankyou to padraig noonan ( the frog ) from roscommon for helping me source the van and also to declan and jonny nitro for thier help in getting it home here area few pictures .

I remember the escort estate van version, called a combi I think, but I don't recall a sierra.
Were they sold in the uk ?

Are you planning to restore this one like the white one or are you going to use it for spares?

Cool as 40 sheep. That's only the second one I've ever seen and the other one was yours as well lol.
Best of luck!

I never knew Ford sold a van version of the Sierra. Brilliant stuff, I look forward to seeing how it turns out.

This was an Irish market car right?
It's something to do with their road taxes but you see all sorts of car-derived vans in Ireland. Young lads cruise about in lowered VW Golf vans wearing big alloys for example. Sierra's a new one on me though.

Were they sold in the uk ? Yes, MANWEB (Merseyside and North Wales Electricity Board) used to use them.

Nah, mid engined V8 in the back. If you can't get an XJ220 or RR Meteor engine. They make my XR4x4 look factory fresh!

Blimey, I like to think I'm an eighties car enthusiast but I never realised until seeing your post that you could get a van version of the Sierra. Top marks that man!

I love it.
Invariable, it's the things you do in life, which other people don't understand, that are the most memorable and satisfying.
One is applauded
