Thanks gpb1. That was just before my air conditioning (quite literally) blew up with a massive bang, filled the cabin with vapour and and dumped flourescent refrigerant all over the front boot! Oh well...

Bugger. That's what you get for driving an exotic beauty - they can have a temper! Hope she's not off the road long.

It's still driveable fortunately - just rather warm inside with no air-con. But yes, that thing certainly has a temper, it sounded like a shot going off which did make me jump a little.

yesterday in the car park of the Old Red Lion, Litchborough

lovely (pre-reg) Lotus 7

with hood and sidescreens, first time I've ever seen those on the car

the owner told me he rebuilt the car from a boxes of bits and the engine was/is the Mk1 Cortina GT, it's been uprated by Burton but the 130 mph speedo would still be optomistic

as we left the pub a 1930s Bently/Lagonda(?) went by

go to a good interesting pub and you see good interesting cars smile

Not knowing how big your car is, or where you've left it, is not a very PH thing to do!
