Its a handy feature, I may drag the bike upstairs again to not use the trainer then it'll probably stop raining. annoyingly mine seems to work perfectly at the moment It is dull, but I find it pretty crucial to my triathlon training. No way would I get the mileage in otherwise.

Great eBay advert!
I too am a TT user. I have the Cyclops Jet Fluid Pro 2 and find that it remains engaging and interesting whilst watching / interacting with the included DVD but if I try and use the TT whilst watching the TV, I end up basically watching TV, sat on my roadie.
The included DVD is a bit samey though. Anyone used Sufferfest videos to keep the TT interesting / keep the work rate up?

I'm only kidding of course, but I ride for fun and to get away from the stresses of my day-to-day working life, all seems a bit serious to me. The hazards I was mainly refering to are dozey/inconsiderate drivers. When you are breathing out of your backside in the middle of a set of intervals, the last thing you need is some **** to pull out in front of you, or worse... probably one of the reasons why I don't do 'em ;-)

It links you up to the video and plays it through at the speed you are cycling. It's quite fun, but a bit of a novelty and quite quickly wears off. I much prefer just doing timed incline intervals watching my power, cadence, and HR on screen. Yes its dull, but I can see tangible improvements, and watch live averages etc.

They do turbos with power. Wouldn't trust them anymore than strava though.

I have a Tacx Fortius and an SRM, the Fortius power readings tend to read roughly 10% too high up to an output of 300, after 300ish its reads about 5 to 10% too low. It also doesn't react as quickly as the power meter, but in fairness its pretty consistent and that's all you really need.
