It doesn't deal specifically with Traffic Lights, but this:

http://www.britishcycling.org.uk/travel/article/tr...

may go someway to enhancing driver's understanding of why cyclists ride in a particular way. Non cycling drivers are the worst. Just the other day I 'took the lane' in the primary position round a tight right hand bend. Two reasons, protecting more vulnerable younger riders ahead in the group, and because, from my elevated riding position, I could see traffic in the opposing lane approaching the bend. The silly blue-rinse Doris behind me toots her horn and gestures wildly at me to move across to the left, I ignore and maintain my position. Instead of waiting all of 10 seconds for the road to straighten out, Doris goes for the angry overtake, almost hits the oncoming lead car, swerves back into the lane behind me and leans on the horn some more. When she finally overtakes, after a delay of, oh, at least 15 seconds, I get a load of unintelligible abuse from her fat, bald front seat passenger. Both fail to realise that I planned my road position not to 'cut the corner', or 'deliberately hold up traffic', but as much for her safety as mine. (Oncoming traffic often approaches the bend at excessive speed, and some drivers have been known to require more than their own lane to correct the mistake)
As an aside, it's really amusing to watch and listen to a clapped out old diesel Cavalier almost tear itself to bits as it's elderly driver accelerates with the clutch depressed. Blue rinsed little old ladies aren't all sweetness and light, you know.

When I drive in London, cyclists doing this annoy me a bit (if ever there were days of traffic light Grand Prix starts in London, they are long gone now), although for perhaps irrational reasons I reserve my special brand of ire for moped riders, all of whom I would happily usher off Beachy Head, given the chance.
With The Mall being shut I've been going through Oxford St in the evenings.

Rickshaws are an utter menace the worst of both worlds.
