I saw one of these today, I thought it looked fantastic in the orange colour. I think I'd have one over an M3.

Thanks for the link and taking the time to reply. It does look lovely in Black.

Any ideas what sort of discount people did get on their cars?

Any what options did you go for?

Have a look at the black car in the above link - about 30 pics - looks very smart. I ordered an orange car, then changed to black, hope it looks great in the metal as haven't seen one yet! I really like the orange but I wasn't brave enough in the end!

I tried really hard to get a discount on my car but the dealer wouldn't do anything. From what I can make out only people who have bought a few new cars through the same dealer have been given a discount due to loyalty.

Went a bit mad with options as want to keep the car for a long time - sat nav, internet, bluetooth, Harman Kardon, USB audio/telephone interface, heated seats, high beam assist, adaptive lights, met paint - total came to £44,895 or £8 as I told my wife!

I tried hard to get a discount but the dealer wouldn't budge at all...

I think, like me, a few people got £2k off but again, like myself, they prob had v. early orders in (years ago in my case) and have bought a few cars from their dealer already. As the 'buzz' surrounding the car increases and the production ends I'd have thought dealers would now be very unlikely to budge on price. Don't think that should matter to anyone though as the car's a great price anyway and I'd guess that residuals will be very strong (if you're bothered by that sort of thing). So, just enjoy being one of the lucky few!

Can't wait to be one of the lucky few, roll on August delivery! Have you still got your car? Any more feedback now your car is run in? Thanks for all the info you've posted on here, but makes waiting for my car even harder!

Has anyone seen one in Black? I'm worried Black wont show the lines of the car compared to Orange or White but think it could be the safest colour to go for long term
Hi - I have a black one (picked up on Wednesday) and I have to say it looks absolutely STUNNING. You can definitely see the lines (front bumper / air dam / front + rear arches / etc). HOWEVER... I think the White (or VO) would show off the lines more. Black is definitely more subtle in my mind and i personally like the fact that it isn't as obvious as the White.

When I was collecting the car, about 6 people came up to me a the dealership asking which car it was and saying it was stunning. So I think the 1M is still noticeable in black.

Great, look forward to seeing your car. I'm working overseas at the moment so haven't seen an M Coupe in the metal yet!

Have a ferret back on here as don't want to bore peeps with the story again but in a nut shell a good year business wise means I can buy my dream car IF I raid every coffer - which meant 1M had to go. Rest assured it's a stunning little car so not sold through any disappointment with the car.

My 1M has just arrived at the dealer. smile
Could any of the other 1M owners on here answer a quick question for me? The dealer can't seem to find the '1 of 450' plaque in the car. Does anyone know where this is located on delivery?

Mine arrived at the dealer last week (can't pick it up until Sept though!) and didn't come with a plaque. The sales guy told me they don't come with the car itself and if you want one the dealer has to order it with BMW.

Still haven't got my plaque yet and I've had the car for 7 weeks now.
It is down to dealer to order it.
Should be getting mine when it comes back from the body shop!

+1

I got my car this Wednesday and I told my dealer about the plaque a day before I collected it. He ordered it for me and I collected it from him on Thursday. He did say that each car will only get one and advised me not to lose it.
