But not foreigners.
Going off topic here but I’ve always been a fan of Eric Clapton but don’t know what you are referring to. Can you point to something please. I quite like reading stories about these guys. “Stop Britain from becoming a black colony. Get the foreigners out,” exclaimed Clapton to his captive audience. “Get the w*gs out. Get the c**ns out. Keep Britain white,” he added. While it has been made abundantly clear in the statements that followed the comments that Clapton definitely had a few too many drinks during the concert, that doesn’t forgive the way he outrageously expressed his ignorant racist viewpoint. He began his remarks in the worst possible way, by addressing the audience: “Do we have any foreigners in the audience tonight? If so, please put up your hands. So where are you? Well, wherever you are, I think you should all just leave. Not just leave the hall, leave our country. I don’t want you here, in the room or in my country.”

I have three cars of which there were less than 500 made - one in fact less than 100 plus a fourth which is the earliest known example in Europe. Thats what I prefer to spend on - ‘living breathing’ testimony to British (& US) proper engineering - not having to suck up to a dealer to have the merest chance to buy a watch.
I take my hat off to those of you who are happy for Rolex (etc) to Boss you and continue to buy their product. I would have told the AD’s to get stuffed with their playing Watch God long ago.
I’ll leave it there. Bless ya.

Not something I go into detail about but some of the British classic 50’s-70’s were made in small numbers and even a 2002-2005 standalone model less than 500. People think of classics as MG/Triumph/Jag but they were still mass produced I prefer to drive something people very rarely see. Not wanting to elucidate too much, but driving probably one of the earliest (made before Pearl Harbour) British Army WW2 Jeep which went all through Europe in its heyday and has holes to show for it would be less than a Rolex and give a lot more pride in ownership ! I’m an alien here so I’ll move on.
Put my name down with Goldsmiths in late December for an Air-king and got a call yesterday to pick up tomorrow.
No previous purchase history . Chap said he had quite a few different models to place with people on the wait lists.
Absolutely spot on salesman , friendly and welcoming when he put me on the list with a confirmation email the next day , a call a couple of months back to reconfirm my interest and the call yesterday .
Very nice chap and no snobbery or pretension at all .
Maybe it's a sign that models are becoming more available.
