UA921 from Heathrow to New York declared an emergency half way across and then quarantined away from the terminal with passengers taken off row by row by the security services. Any idea what happened ?
AviationSource approached United Airlines for a comment regarding UA921 from last night. It turns out it wasn’t a disruptive passenger, but actually a threat made to the airplane.
In the statement, UA said the following on this:
“United flight 921 from London to Newark landed safely in Newark on Monday after a non-credible threat was found written on a lavatory mirror.”
“Our pilots and law enforcement followed the regular procedure for this type of occurrence, which included having customers deplane a short distance from the terminal.”
“The aircraft will receive a security sweep and we’ll get our connecting customers to their destinations soon.”
Don't you hate it when you hear that sound, and you think what is that. It sounds like a Chinook, the double slaps, it must be. Checks FR24, nothing, checks ADSB Exchange, nothing. Must be super secret.
Listens more closely, and then......yep its next door washing machine on a final spin. FML

Anyway, around 3:00 in the afternoon yesterday, I was looking at ADSB and there was a jet, approaching low (sub 2,000ft) on an unusual flightpath. We are in Kent and this had taken off from North Weald. It was a jet Provost and it was making a fair bit of noise. It went down to the coast, turned around and came back again retracing his route. Never seen one before so this was a bit of a treat.

Couple of G550s making their way west across the Atlantic seemingly in convoy right now. No registration details though?
Could be the same family. My uncle was a Gulfstream IV pilot in the 90's and told me that often prominent families wouldn't all travel together incase the plane went down. He always thought it was BS and they just didn't want to be on the same plane as the kids and nanny. Petrus1983 said:

Is there some frisky weather in the Caribbean at the moment? Maybe planning to get as close as they can and hope the weather settles? Can't think of any other reason!
Weather is glorious in Montego Bay. My money is on dropping off crew and/or engineers and parts for G-TUIB which was supposed to head back from Melbourne to Gatwick last night but was cancelled.

Exactly right, it’s dropping off a tyre then continuing onto MBJ.My money is on dropping off crew and/or engineers and parts for G-TUIB which was supposed to head back from Melbourne to Gatwick last night but was cancelled.
