All of them Australian Airlines.

Ansett
Compass Mark 1 (think it was a leased Monarch A300)
Australian (Not sure if i went on its predecessor TAA) was absorbed into Qantas. Also an A300 with 9 passengers!
Skywest which has changed name and owners a few times and is now Virgin Australia Regional Airlines.

It's a still from the little known Hitchcock thriller about a stewardess who is pushed from the open door of a Viscount flight from Heathrow to NewcastleGlasgow - it's called "North by Northeastwest".
Shirly that's Glasgow Eric? Joke still works.

We just had another start up go under this week... Bonza.
Started by ex-CEO of Virgin Airlines Australia.

I remember flying Ansett, didn't mind them myself.
Now I'm stuck with Qantas and rapidly losing faith in them..

I flew from Manchester to Melbourne on a Monarch 757. 18 hours with stops, longest flight I’ve ever had.

Spantax used to use CV 990 and DC 8s into Manchester in the late 1970/80s.

They were the last users of the Convair jets. Like Dan Air and the Comet, Spantax bought up all the remaining CV990s as other users (of which there were very few) withdrew them.

They also operated DC-9s.

One I haven't seen mentioned that I flew over to Crete on

Air Scandic (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Air_Scandic)

Looked like someone got carried away with the ClipArt for the plane livery....

Poor plane! That "livery" is tragic! I hope it feels slightly better in IranAir livery now.

I flew to Salalah on an Oman Aviation Skyvan - although I can't find anything on the web associated with them. They were white with green OMAA livery.

Have we had Ford Air yet?

Used to run a 737 (?) shuttle between Stansted and Cologne for Ford employees. Flew it a few times.

I did lots of flying with Low Cost airlines in the 00s

Duo - very short lived
Wondered if anyone was going to mention Duo.

Based Birmingham, only lasted 6 months, but very positive passenger experience, mainly on flights to Scandinavia and Milan.

Many other now defunct airlines already mentioned, not going to duplicate.

Jeez it was knackered when I flew on it, I hope it's had a refurb since then!
(Flew on it probably back in about 1999/Early 2000's)
I remember that it was looking very tired inside and the return journey was delayed by many hours due to the cabin filling with smoke waiting to taxi to the runway.
Had to turn back and sort the issue before taking off, many hours later....

I remember it as it had a 3-3-3 seat configuration, with the big old TV screen in the middle.

Looks like it's still setup the same with Iran Air.
