Ketchup on the bottom, tartare on the top. Lettuce. Pepper and lemon juice.

Yup, expensive but the best burger I have from one of these places. Even better than the Angus.

Wow.

Cheap white bread, marge, salt & vinegar is all it needs. Lemon juice? Mental.

You're be drizzling the pain with a beurre blanc and scattering the assiette with caviar in an artistically random way next.

When will this madness end?

Have you tried it then? I wouldn't mind giving it a go just to 'tick the box' of paying £6.50 for a fish finger manwich..

Crap food done well should be a culinary specialism of its own.

I'd go to a restaurant specialising in the finest crap food you can find. Delicious, perfect, yet retaining its essential crapness.

Next week: potato waffles, gourmet style.

(agree entirely about the cheap white bread. Accept no non-crap substitutes).

Finally got round to trying a plough nabs Angus. Was OK nothing special into me as they have do e the usual trick of drowning it in mayo that just masks the rest. The pickle and cheese are quite nice but can't help thinking it doesn't gel with the rest.

On a side note the box they come in mentions all of the summer burgers and describes one as.....

Lamb and mint sauce burger on a toasted corn dusted bun with a layer of delicious creamy mash topped by steakhouse sauce and crispy onions. Finished off with a topping of mint sauce.

Wonder what happened to that?
