Me too, though occasionally push the boat out for Tea Pigs. Warm the pot, shake yer bags then add hot water, stir clockwise straight away then let it mash for 2-3 minutes. Milk first.

I don't drink tea, but I am the primary tea maker in the house.

The primary tea consumer says it has to be Yorkshire Tea.

I put the milk in first when making her tea though, which appears to be offensive behaviour in many circles, so I'm not sure how discerning she is to be fair.
A POX ON YOUR HOUSE, SIR! A POX I SAY!
Though good call on the Yorkshire Tea. That's my go to.

Ringtons Gold. Twinings Assam at a push. Used to be a fan of Yorkshire Tea but seemed very weak to me last time I tried it.

Tea bags. Specifically - which one?

We have tried
Sainsbury's - ok, but we don't go in Sainsbury's very often.
Tesco - ok, but you get a box with the bags all loose inside, so once you have opened the box, they are all exposed to the atmosphere.
Lidl - ok, cheap, but we have found the odd bag bursts in the cup and if you don't spot it, that is horrible.

I/we are not interested in loose ta and we can't detect any difference in taste between the different brands.

What do you think? Have I got to make a trip to Sainsbury's once in a while?

Or what?
Have you tried Yorkshire? If they don’t taste any different to you I’d do a Covid test.

Try 30 pence each for these:

On 'normal' tea, after helping a customer with a problem on the rear windscreen of their Porsche 996, they sent a box of brownies which included a bag of Brockenhurst Breakfast teabags to show their appreciation. I've ordered more of that tea because it's probably the best I've ever tasted.

(Kenyan [Tinderet] & Indian [Assam] black tea). It really is a lovely cuppa.
I like strong tea and have always drunk PG but someone advised me switch to Yorkshire. Bought a 1000 bag from Booker and can't wait for them to end so I can return to PG.

Early in my career I worked at Heathrow with an Indian chap who used to bring us Darjeeling from Southall market, now that was very good.

No! The tea leaves are dried, open to the atmosphere.

Its far more important to use fresh boiling water and brew it for at least 4mins

However the strength of their bags is variable. Some have the strength of gnat’s water.

You need to buy the 240bags weighing 750gms to get a consistently good cup of tea.

If I have teabags, then it is Sainsbury's Darjeeling for me.

Yorkshire tea or GTFO.

Or just go with your own choice and buy a tin or Tupperware container to empty them into.

Buying them is not the problem.

Keeping them is not the problem.

Any road. I just want a tea bag which won't burst.

Most of my life a PG drinker, but lately have been drinking Waitrose English Breakfast but at the weekend picked up Tesco Gold (ran out of Waitrose) & can say I’m really impressed with it.

Dilmah tea. Found it in a Eastern European shop, don't bother with much else now.

Ringtons.

Their coffee & biscuits are also excellent.
Another vote for Ringtons, esp the gold, a bulk order every few months works for us

20 pence per bag! Do you think I am made of money?

But - do they split or burst in the mug?

Are you squeezing them too hard?

I put a tiny amount of milk in first before I pour the water also.

I'm telling you this as I know it will trigger one or two tea drinkers people smile

I like Yorkshire Tea, or Tetley. Also like the breakfast ones from Twining.

I drink coffee during the day, tea on an evening.
