I know their album will be a disappointment compared to former glories
I know their live shows will not live up to expectations
I couldn't care less

They were s te live 20 years ago. I doubt they'll be any better now. Ian Brown can't sing. John Squire hasn't written a decent tune since 1990.

I find it incredibly odd that people know they're sh*t live... yet they're willing to pay high premium for the privilege of attending the show. It must be a nostalgia thing... because I would never pay to see a band that couldn't pull it off live.
At least when Led Zep reformed for that one off show at the O2... they're were able to pull it off!!!

You really are the a wet blanket aren't you? I just paid a thousand quid for tickets. I might use them all, I might not. I might even turn a profit. If they are s t then I don't care. I've lost a thousand quid in three seconds on a roulette wheel before now. My life is full of joy because whatever happens it will be an EVENT! Just to relive my 20s it's well worth it. Cheer up. Please.

I'm glad to know that you might make some money or even maybe deign to use all the tickets you've bought, thank God the world is full of nobbers like you who make sure tickets sell out in 0.5 seconds. Cheers.

I have just got a ticket off a friend for the Sunday. I was so excited I could barely say thanks!
I'm fully aware they may be crap. I have seen Ian Brown a few times and have to admit, he can't sing.
I don't flippin care!! It will be amazing!

Just need to find a Hotel for the night now.... I fancy making a weekend of it and hitting Fac251 on Friday night.

Sadly missed out on tickets, currently scouring eBay but with very little luck. £300 seems to be the absolute minimum people are asking, some jokers even asking for £10k for 2 tickets, its just insane. I can appreciate people may want to sell because they bought tickets and then found out they couldn't attend, but stopping people who really want to go just because they think they can get many thousands is a bit s t in my book. But if they do announce more dates, I'll be sitting at my computer ready and waiting for any events anywhere in Scotland!

I think they're going to announce a full tour shortly - I might go to that.

russ_a said: Has anyone ever heard them live? They are bloody dreadful!! Yip, been there, done that & still got the t-shirt somewhere! Brilliant atmosphere that day but no inclination to see them try to replicate it, and yes sound was crap but somehow that didn't seem to matter. EvoSlayer said: Just found this while rummaging through the archives, neatly stashed away for the last 21 years with some other random stuff... Happy Daze Maybe I'll just dig out my old vinyl ETA, Eyup Soovy lad, paid 14 quid to see them back then & thought that was a bit pricey

Ian Brown can't sing? Saw him touring 'Unfinished Monkey Business', at the Edinburgh Corn Exchange. A venue known for poor acoustics at the best of times. Brown hit every note and sounded sweet as a lark with it. To say I was gobsmacked was an understatement. Was a really good gig! As much as I'm cynical about '90's bands reforming (saw fat Happy Mondays second time around - s te), I can't help but get a good feeling about this. They seemed so energised during the press conference - I really hope this will be something special, and offer something new with the new material. I wait to be proved wrong!

Ian Brown will be okay with Reni to sing backing vocals --
