Ultima rim dimensions
Discussion
hopefully someone has bookmarked the link, I have been running over rim dimensions in this forum but cannot find them anymore ?
I found that the Ford Granada will fit but I would need actually the complete dimensions including offsets
for front and back rims. I assume that GTR and CANAM are using the same rims ?
thanks

Same rims CanAm or GTR.
I just picked up a spare set of the Oz factory wheels to mount slicks on for track days. Prior to any tire mounting I intend to spend a little time to record all the critical dimensions as this question seems to pop up with regularity and I have not found the answer posted anywhere.

I would be surprised if a Ford rim fits, the Ultima lug spacing is 5 on 112mm, Ford is 5 on 4.5", it's cose but no close enough.
The hubs are from a Ford Granada so a Ford stud spacing will fit.The rim size to fit over the Ultima disc and caliper is a different matter.

Then I stand corrected, there is so little information on the wheels. They are 5 on 112mm pcd, correct?Steve

Hope this isn't off topic but a few of my wheel nuts are rusty, any idea on what type I'm looking for to replace them?
Join the gang, I'm on my third set.Steve
Where did you get your replacement ones from and what did you ask for (assume they are Ford Granada ones?) also wondering as I was going to get some locking nuts too.
Thanks,
Robin.

They are special to fit the factory rims (unless someone knows otherwise)
Would like to go stainless but, again, others have looked into this with a company who displays at the shows but again they were going to be specials and at a 'Special' price.

Okay I did some measuring and here's some basic dimensions that can be used to assess whether an aftermarket or alternative wheel might fit your Ultima.
Common Dimensions front/rear;
Bolt Spacing PCD; 5x112mm (Ford Granada, Some Audi, Mercedes and VW but bolt spacing is only a small piece of the puzzle)
Stud hole diameter; 0.75 inch
Center bore diameter; 2.5 inch
Center bore chamfer; 45º
Center bore chamfer width 0.05 inch
Wheel to hub mating flange diameter; 6.375 inch
Rear Rim specific;
Rim width; 13 inch
Backspace to inner flange; 8.25 inch
Backspace to outer rim edge; 8.75 inch
Offset; 3.25 inch
Center hub mating face to wheel spoke depth (Caliper clearance); 0.9 inch
Front Rim Specific;
Rim Width; 8.5 inch
Backspace to inner flange; 4.75 inch
Backspace to outer rim edge; 5.25 inch
Offset; 1 inch
Center mating face to wheel spoke depth (Caliper clearance); 0.45 inch
If you are not familiar with wheel specifications and dimensions do a Google search and you'll get diagrams of what each dimension refers to. US wheel manufacturers for the most part refer to 'backspacing' as measurement to inner flange (lip of tire bead seat), although some use to outer rim edge as it is easier to determine accurately. Verify with your wheel supplier exactly what they refer to as 'backspacing'.
The legal stuff; Information in this post is provided for information only, it is up to you to do your due diligence as to correct fitment of any alternative rims. I will not be held responsible for any inaccuracies, non fitment issues, or accidental death/dismemberment arising from use of this data.

here some pics from a measurement taken by Michael from Germany, in addition I have decided to send the Hubs with the discs installed to my rim supplier and he will be able to perfectly fit them. I will have a drawing of that available later and post it here.
I can now confirm that these measurements are right. The wheels fittet without any problems to the car. Chech my website for pictures.
