Is there any kind of film that is enjoyable to watch in the sense its something you would dream about?
I.e. i always have mystical dreams that are so random, and 'the lovely bones' was one film i really enjoyed because of the way she was trapped between heaven and earth etc
Is there any adventurous films like this?

It depends what you dream about of course. One that fit the bill for me was Anal Sluts COuntry Horseride. Is that the kind of thing you are looking for?

What's that film with Robin Williams in where he dies and goes to heaven and, because he loved paintings, he perceives it as art (as if he's wading through oil paint)?
I remember that feeling really 'dream like', although it wasn't a great film otherwise.

What Dreams May Come?
I still think, How I Won the War is one of the weirdest films I have seen. Now I think of it, it could be dreamlike, stuff just happens and is not explained. Like soldiers being different colours.

We recorded Watchmen from the telly the other day. Some parts of it are a bit hokey, many bits are dark, but the sequences featuring the Dr Manhattan character are astonishingly imaginative. Overall it's quite an experience.

Awesome movie, a modern classic for sure. Anything by Terry Gilliam (of Monty Python fame) Brazil, Twelve Monkeys etc. A lot of them are quite surreal and dream like. A proper mind f k though is a film called Primer, it's about time travel but not in the classic sense, much stranger than that.

I didn't realise how long it was till me and the boy checked the timer after 2 hrs and noticed there was still an hour to go. We'll be setting aside three hours sometime to give it full justice. The sheer amount of content and the intensity the film manages to maintain over that time is seriously impressive. Must have cost a lot to make.

I've not seen much of Lynchs work but Mulholland Drive and Lost Highway stand out for me, David Cronenberg is another director who manages to pull off the wierd surrealist stuff pretty well especially in his older movies.

Don't expect much from it first time round, it's a low budget movie but doesn't really look like it. I won't say much but you need to watch it carefully to understand it properly

Just ordered it. On the time travel theme, Timecrimes is well worth a watch too. The Spanish version, as I know there is a remake out due later this year I think.

For a good bit of French weirdness, try Weekend and The Discreet Charm of the Bourgeoisie.
