The Channel 4 red triangle, signpost to disappointment.

Bit like Bill and Ted in hell: "our album covers lied to us!"

Mrs D.R. and I watched an episode of 'Criminal Minds' last night which involved a chap hammering needles and other unpleasant things into his victims' brains through their eye sockets.

A warning might have been nice, to be honest!
Criminal Minds is one of the darkest shows around.
And you are seeing the edited versions. I have every episode ever made ripped onto one of my network drives and is as dark as dark can be.

Surprised that hasn't already been passed into law by the SNP.

Yep. I remember watching them when they were first shown and bought them on DVD - on the odd occasion i've caught a few ot them over the last year i noticed they'd been given a bit of trimming (to hit current broadcast standards and to avoid complaints) despite the fact they're 9pm. Then again it's also one of the many serious that Disney obtained the syndication rights to other the various mergers / buy outs over the years so it's not surprise as they love editing stuff (or in the case of some shows like Family Guy just removing old episodes altogether and pretend they never existed).
