No, it's wrong. She has ruined an extremely attractive woman!

Agreed. Maybe its me or the writing but I am starting to go off the character.

Penny at the Cheesecake factory was her raison d'etre. I wonder how she'll evolve - there may be some workplace stuff to come yet along with some jealousy/cheating stuff I think...

Not for me :-( As I expected I'm struggling with it at the moment.

I am a misery though, ask anyone.

Penny's short hair is growing on me, although she's looking less "hot" but that seems to be her growing up/moving in to her new job.
Strange how different people perceive things, I thought it was one of the weakest episodes for a long time.

It was the customer recruitment technique that did it for me

We watched 01 and decided to give up, then I read positive comments here about 02 so we watched than and now we have given up.

It seems to have grown up a lot - if you go back to Season 1 and 2, it's a really different show. That shows a lot - for better or worse...

Indeed. At the other end of the scale you have NCIS where over 10 seasons there has been no personal or professional development of any of the characters.

We are too, I think there was maybe 1 laugh and a couple of smiles throughout the episode

I think TBBT could have had a show where by the characters hardly changed over X number of series.

I think the development of the characters on TBBT has been really quite poor. It just doesn't seem to be that well thought out, they don't seem to be looking at where they want the characters to be in say, 3 seasons time and then mapping back from there. The development at the moment just seems very staggered and random.

Agreed, seems like more "what will we write out now". At least in the case of Friends they were setting up relationships/careers/families for the inevitable split up.

Take Sheldon's running away. Oh he's gone! Next episode: he's back!

That struck me as being all to convenient - Sheldon running away could have been handled with much more comedic effect, but wasn't. What it does seem is that there are some questions coming up, including:

  • What's the end game for Sheldon and Amy?
  • When will we see a pregnancy?
  • When will Leonard and Penny split up over some nonsense - that's coming for sure?
Sheldon being a professor seems to have died a death - is that going to progress at all?
When will Stuart and Debbie become a couple as that's the only thing that I can definitely see happening for sure
Raj and whatsherface WILL split up, that's for sure

As it stands, it does feel like it's stepping from one episode to the next with not a lot of continuity.

It almost feels like a sitcom from a government! The writers get a term of about 3-6 episodes, then a new lot come in and decide to change all the plotlines.

S08E05 - not a bad episode, Bernadette is looking more hot as time goes by.

Must admit, I'm getting more laughs out of repeat viewings of Rules of Engagement (thanks to whoever recommended it).

Didn't really find much to laugh about in this episode (S08E05) - In fact, I struggle to think of anything funny at all.

Penny looked hot, but beyond that, meh...
