The BBC are soooo politically biased towards Labour - so blatantly that it's not even worth quoting examples but the way Newsnight covered Camerson's using the veto and general coverage on Europe/spending/economy...... And there's always labour red in the background in the studios.... And least the mail picked up on it but for a public sector organisation surely an independent body needs to monitor the situation. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2072307/Ho...

I must admit that I'm surprised it is still as bad a year after Labours demise. I can only hope Dave starts wading in once, more important, affairs have been dealt with

I'd be happy to opt completely out of the BBC and just use Sky but that's just me.
I think the Govt, need to act now and act hard - after all, I'm sure Labour would do something if the situation were reversed. The BBC's bias is just comical now....

I do and Andrew Neil is one of the BBC's finest in that his outlook is not intrisically 'of the left' as seems to be the default setting from the Beeb but unless you watch This Week or The Daily Politics then sadly all you'll ever get is the constant evil Tories meme...

I was quite surprised by the 10 o'clock news last night, I knew the BBC has form for bias but last night's news was farcical.

So, it's not "constant" really. They do show and allow other views. It's just that people chose not to listen to or watch the programmes where they might hear or see these viewpoints. Radio 4 is another location where alternative views and very lively and educated debate and discussion of ALL sides of the various political divides are aired all the time.

I have to admire your constant support of the Beeb Eric but the endless threads about it and the numerous websites and bloggs cannot be ignored. It is far from being caused by peoples 'viewing habits' and to quote one journo that bucks the trend hardly sways that opinion, I give you Andrew Marr as a counter

So why not a neutral colour.... Always red. There's bound to be a subliminal effect around election time for some people.... Edit: easy answer: let them change red to blue whereever they have red, put blue.

It is a matter of fact, not opinion, that the BBC is institutionally biased in favour of the CAGW scam. Certainly true. Also, I was listening to HIGNFY last night (whilst still working..), and all the jokes were at the expense of the Tory's and the US Republicans - Herman Cain getting a right thrashing (fair enough, I suppose, he may deserve it - I don't know..) Then, after this, a comedy show was on, where the first 'jokes' were also political, this time Sara Palin and the Tea Party. Oh yes, and then the BBC 'news' - and we all know what side the BBC was on regarding the EU and UK - not ours! The constant drip-drip-drip of snearing at the 'Right' grated. I do not watch/listen to a lot of BBC prime time TV any longer, but if that was a sample of the overall picture, I'm glad I don't - it was like flicking through the pages of a left wing rag!

Don't critise the messenger if you chose not to listen to all the messages they are carrying. I agree that mainstream news does carry bias and is far too simplistic in its approach on far too many topics. Indeed, simplistic news coverage is endemic across a lot of the broadcast media. not just the BBC. However, of all the broadcasters, it is the BBC that carries the widest, deepest and most varied views. Granted, you might have to listen and look a bit harder to find these alternative view points, but those views are there. And if you don't listen to Radio 4, start now. It will change your life.

Political jokes tend to be aimed at those in power. I don't remember Labour getting an easy ride from HIGNY between 1997 and 2010.

Well, think a supposedly high brow organisation should strive for political objectivity in its mainstream programs and I don't want to be stuck watching TV all the time and unrealistic for others to do so.... There needs to be a review of BBC news reporting impartiality in this country because it is so blatantly biased. (I'll check out R4. )
