That's a bloody good turn out!
Looks like they've even put up decontamination tents by the toll booth.
I hope it turns out to be something fairly innocent, but I suspect it isn't.

Podie said: Not sure what's worse, the incident or the news coverage - which is quite simply abysmal. Don't you just love rolling news? Neither the presenters nor the people they question have got a f king clue what is going on, yet they give continuous coverage and keep letting the platitudes flow. This deserves barely a passing mention until you actually know what the story is. Otherwise you're just wasting time. BrabusMog said: Oh ok, the TV on the wall in the office doesn't have sound so I was just going on what I saw Then you have qualified as a BBC News 24 presenter. A car is waiting for you. Remember what Roy Walker used to say on Catchphrase...

Oh dear, someone's going to have to remember how to change the signs that say "M6 TOLL CLEAR".

The conspiracy types are already yelling "False flag!", but then they tend to say that about absolutely everything, so I'm not sure that really adds anything to the debate. Is it staged? Who knows? I tend to think any genuinely staged event (if that's not an oxymoron?) would be rather more subtle to be honest, but then perhaps it's all about lowest common denominator tabloid shock value? If it IS some sort of terror incident, in a weird way I'll be sort of relieved, as it is all rather Dick Dastardly. The gangs at the centre of the riots last year seemed far more organised, created a week or so of nationwide mayhem and hysteria and are almost certainly much better armed.

DJRC said: I dont really get the slagging our trains get. They are comfortable, have wifi, plug sockets and are largely on-time...ish. Go into first class and its really rather good.
Certainly better than in France, Germany or Switzerland. Swiss trains are cheaper and much more strict to the schedule, but their service provision to customers is 1980s compared to UK and their first class is risible. I recently travelled to Copenhagen from Bristol by train. The only trains that were late, expensive and dirty were the ones in the UK.

Quite possibly, however most forces have trained hundreds of officers as CBRN First Responders - it's not a massive ask to assemble a decent number in a relatively short timeframe, particularly when you take into acount Mutual Aid.
