To be honest the whole rules and regulations thing seems so petty I'm glad I'm not going and I think this thread needs some input from Godwins law. How much exactly will you need for a day at the Olympics!? Us British love a moan about nothing don't we

Also on the list:
No Smiling No Laughing No Fun having No Applauding unless directed by an Official IOC Applause Leader No Cheering No Joking
You are here to provide a service to your Corporate Masters and will behave as the good consuming automatons you are.
Ow! My tongue was pressing into cheek so hard I bruised it!

I imagine the Olympics Reality Distortion Field will be in full effect so a McDonalds meal from outside the venue might be £3.88 but inside it could be more like £9.88.

Exactly, I have no idea what I'd need but Mr and Mrs Smith from Manchester may take Master and Miss Smith and may have morning and evening tickets, so 2 meals, a couple of drinks each, 4 ice creams, a souvenir Tshirt for each of the kids, one or two other items and you're into the £100s without any effort.

Console yourselves with the thought that in but a few weeks it will all be over, and never again in our generation will we have to host this joke of a sporting event massive advertising platform. All we will have to deal with is being seen as a laughing stock when our dilapidated infrastructure, feckless organisational skills and incompetent suppliers are put on display for the world to see.

I wonder why I've never noticed the pure corporate greed that comes with the olympics before? It's like wandering into an alternative universe where metanationals are the governments, almost seems a bit "Demolition Man". Bloody crazy, it's not about sport, it's all about the money

This bloke will be in trouble too: At what point should we have pointed out to the IOC that being a free, democratic and non oppressive country we would be unable to enforce some of their 'silly' rules?

Which is what I'm planning to do. I'll also be ignoring as much of the coverage as possible. I have no interest whatsoever in over priced exploitation events like this and as far as sport goes I'd rather be outside, doing it myself. I find it amazing the lengths and expense people will go to in order to sit miles away from some people performing whether that be music, sport, acting or whatever. Living vicariously isn't half as much fun as just living......
