There seems to be two different aspects of the situation and I’m a bit confused on one of them.

There is the first bit with the allegations from the young man’s family that Edward’s was exchanging and paying the under 18 for sex pics. As far as the police are concerned, no case to answer, everyone was over 18, some may well find that unsavoury, but behind closed doors all legit and only his business.

The second part that emerged was at least 4 different young (but not under 18) members/previous members of staff who alleged Edward’s had been sending them inappropriate late night messages and making inappropriate advances in the work place. They were also alleging they felt he was abusing his position as they couldn’t complain and were too afraid to tell anyone. It also seemed to be suggested he was well known for that type of thing.

Has the second part all been cleared by a bbc investigation? That all went very quiet. Given the bbc statement on edwards leaving was extremely cold and didn’t even thank him for his decades of service. Something feels odd. Were there current bbc staff lining up in Twitter wishing him the best and thanking him for his service? Genuine question I don’t have social media?
