Or this for the same £12.5 million

Horses for courses, but for me, these are the very definition of the thread. Lovely.

Que someone pointing out one is next to a sewage works and the other a pig farm or something hehe
Agreed, they are both really lovely too! (but I would take the one above at half the price personally).

Is this its 4th or 5th visit to the thread perhaps? From the description I knew exactly which one it was smile

Lack of waterfront is a killer, no matter its loveliness. Price could fall further I guess.

Love that!
But grade 2 listed.
Deffo one of the best properties posted on this thread in a long while.... Lovely combo of old classic and new contemporary, done with style and quality furnishings. No idea how they managed this on a Grade II listed property, but regardless the result is lovely. I don't know the area to say if £6M is too much, but I see it's been reduced from the initial £7M price and still for sale a year later, so.... It's also a tad on the large side at >8000sqf but if you have that much money to spend on a property I guess you dont want anything too modestly sized!
It was derelict and rotten so they got special permission to rebuild it, bought for 900k as a wreck and went up for sale over two years ago originally for £8.5 million, it's very nice but clearly hasn't found favour with buyers.

Been for sale for ages….. and in here… no direct access to the lake if i recall. Otherwise perfect.
I think I'd spend most of my days sitting in the room looking at my Mrs (and friends) swimming and frolicking in the submerged glass pool.

Worth the asking price alone surely.

Nice to see that old photo of the original mill. Looks like the fence has always been there, and there was never a view of the water.

In that case I wonder if the fence was erected by those who do own the lake to prevent the local hoi polloi gaining access?

Even that tennis court is owned by the other house - you can see a path between the fences to it.

It’s striking. But a bit st. It was £9.5m when it was first listed. Nearly 4 years ago now.

Great to have that context on an old favourite on this thread. The lake's not yours, is the usual thumbs down verdict. Feel for the bloke (is selling childrens PJs really that lucrative?)

Pretty sure there’s a public footpath on the other side of the fence too

This has just been relisted I think sale must have fell through.

Needs quite a bit doing to it but has potential to be a really nice house with great views IMO. Its also not quite as big as perhaps looks from the front elevation.

It's much cheaper to get a bit of an old mill in your house up north..

No pool though biggrin

I thin this place is fab - fab in such a way it needs work and maybe not so fab in the upkeep of the tower - but its back on the market, and has a bit of musical history too. 2 internet pints for the first to correctly state its musical significance (well not really significance, more sort of famous-ish link).

Yes, that's a lovely property for sensible money. Ancient tower, a moat, masses of other stuff. Yep that'd do.

It's in a village called Warblington, which is what a lot of singers do these days.

PM me for address, looking forward to the pints.

That's lovely... needs to be a catch at that price doesn't there? Rather untidy works yard at the end of the lane, too close to some to the A27?
