DannyScene said: 2 part question first part I suspect has been asked before. Is there a minimum speed needed to keep a plane in the air? I geuess it will vary by aircraft so lets say a Britten-Norman Islander. Yes. It's referred to as "Vs" which is the minimum speed where the aircraft is still controllable in normal configuration in normal flight. There's also "Vs0" which is the minimum stall speed in landing configuration. These are usually at the beginning of the green arc on the air speed indicator. It varies from aircraft to aircraft. No idea what it would be on the Islander. DannyScene said: 2ns part, why do some police use these instead of choppers? If a planes minimum speed is higher than the car its chasing will it not just have to keep circling in order to not blast past it Cheaper running costs, more range and endurance.

Return of the Jedi. The new republic comes up, so what do they do with the remaining bits of imperial infastructure, like the Stormtroopers, the Star Destroyers etc.

There, I've said it. Once you get over the initial shock, the emotional scars will heal with time.
