Where did you read that? I searched his name in the directory to find the thread about his F1 and on the last page he says he's selling it to a mate. It's also where he says he's having some bother in his personal life.

How about SXS (Ash?)and Project Phoenix? Very aggressive poster, very high opinion of himself. He hooked up with engineering companies who were the dogs b ks for a while, then a few months down the line they were the worst charlatans in the world. And repeat.

It's also where he says he's having some bother in his personal life. IIRC he said that he been dealing with a "cabal of criminals" that have been bothering him, and I got the impression that it was the Porsche 959 that he was selling to his mate.

Ah, looks like I'm mistaken and misread. ETA: Now I look again it's bleedin' obvious it's the 959. I am a spanner sometimes.

sleep envy said: It's a shame he was binned, you could easily kill a few hours winding him up. ..or catch out his obvious fantasies. I remember him pathetically trying to garner self-sympathy in the 7/7 bombing thread by claiming that his daughter's French best friend had been killed that day. I pulled him up on this by stating that no French nationals had died in that disgrace. He complained to the mods and I got castigated for referring to him as a Walter Mitty- but it was still b*lls t!

I joined CTF on May 11th 2008 and I'm member 906, which would indicate that it was around for quite a while before that. It was 22nd October 2007. There was some problem with the previous forum that was being used for Inselkampf so Gorvid set that one up. If you look at the member list you can see a whole bunch of people joining it within the first hour or so. It didn't become CTF until later.
