That is one of several reasons I much prefer to travel with a reputable airline like Easyjet rather than third world budget airline like BA.

They're supposed to be a prestigious national carrier, they used to be "the worlds favorite airline" WTF happened?

IIRC they got rid of all their IT and outsourced it to India...

Booked travel insurance and got the email straight after.

Email says "to view your policy, create an account below". I have to create an account now, with password in order to download my policy.

FFS, I thought company's would rather get away from this unnecessary user portals, security, passwords, general storage of user data (beyond the initial signup).

On the topic of doors I'm once again here to rant about people who don't say thanks, or at the very least a smile and/or a nod when you hold a door or let them through when passing.

Ignorant.
Winds me up beyond believe! I always make a point of politely saying "you're welcome". Don't care who it is, young, old, manners cost nothing. Some people are clearly embarrassed when they hear you say it, I don't care

Drivers who drive right up to a parked car (or other stationary obstacle) and then have to swing out into the opposite lane to get past it. If they looked further than the end of their bonnet and pulled out in advance they could drive past without bringing the whole road to a grinding halt. rolleyes

I've booked a return flight using British Airways. I am absolutely astounded by the glitchy, awkward, website and app they have in place.

There's been countless errors on the website particularly. With 3 days in a row of periods where there is a message saying "Sorry, we're having issues at the moment".

There's also an issue as it connects to the American Airlines website (who operate one of the flights). This also produces errors.

I have completed information on the app, saved it, and then today got an email reminding me to complete it. I log in and see that none of the information is there.
Great isn't it?

I love the feature where it will refuse to show your boarding pass as you approach the gates or maybe it will this time. Do you feel lucky punk? Well, do you??

'no details found' can be pretty disconcerting as you approach security.

Screenshot everything just in case....
What are you people doing to book flights? Deliberately looking for the dodgiest means?

I go to the airlines website, find the flights I want, fill in my deets, pay by card and "bing" email with PNR appears in my inbox.

Even done this with BA.

We live near a bus stop and there are always people stopping too close to the bus, so they can't see past to overtake. Cue lots of beeping from the cars behind and the occasional bit of road rage. It gets quite entertaining at times laugh

BA again... why don't they just be clear. "You can cancel or change your flight without penalty within the first 24 hours".

Great, what if it's outside? It says "Contact us for more information".

Never again with BA, it's been a non-stop ballache.

That's a tad aggressive, I've long since stopped giving
or caring if I receive these pointless driving niceities.

People who don't ask the question they need to ask first and instead ask several other questions leading up to it.....usually over text so it wastes my time replying.

For example,

"Are you at the gym?"
"Yes"
"How long before you leave?"
"I dunno about half an hour"

nothing

"Why?"
"I need you to pick me up my trains been cancelled..."

Either call me and explain or ask the question at the start and I'll work the logistics out and let you know.

Via the BA website!

I actually like to fly BA and think they are a decent airline but their app is a bit, well, flaky. It looks great but the hamsters behind the scenes need a kick up the arse now and then.

Maybe, makes me feel better though, and perhaps it makes them think about acknowledging other drivers who are courteous to them in the future

I think it's the breakdown of civlisation once people stop caring about thanking others for these so-called nice titties wink

What next, don't thank someone for holding the door for you? Or letting you out of the seat before them?

It takes no time or effort to thank others like this and often goes a long way to improving someone's day

I never use "apps" to book flights (or anything really) because they're always flakey as hell. Always use a decent web browser to go direct to the web site

I've had 4 BA flights in recent times including one long haul and they've been pleasantly surprising. A380 economy seats were actually comfortable. The A320 neo was also quite good as far as modern narrow bodies go.

I'd definitely not hesitate to fly them again.

Try Air France. I WFH but have to visit the office in Paris regularly. Sometimes I fly BA and sometimes AF. When i fly BA it's always smooth. When I fly Air France half the time they try to charge me for luggage even though my ticket has luggage included. Or they try to charge me for overweight luggage on the return when it's the same stuff I flew out with. Basically AF are constantly scamming. At least BA haven't sunk to that level (yet).

Flown Air France 4 times. They lost my luggage 3 times. The last time I had an airline employee friend look it up using the generic baggage tracking codes and it was sat in Oslo (where I had flown to). I went to the airport and got it from a huge room full of Air France flight mislaid baggage. No idea how long it would have taken to get it otherwise, if ever. There was hundreds of items sat in there.
