If it's an evening do, I'll come in my finest evening wear with my favourite cummerbund! Shall I bring my chandelier and a couple of bottles of Welsh Pinot Grigio, or something a bit lighter with less slate chipp8ngs in it.

If its a morning occasion, I'll just come in my pants. bowtie

Looking forward yo it already. smile

I'm just waiting to start my seventh (7th) Cardiac Rehab session.
Wish me luck!

Good luck, Glen. Don't overdo it!

Good aftermorn, Trivs! Here we are again, or rather Here I am again, a morning of traipsing around the neighbourhood, followed by lunch, and an afternoon of the Post Office Inquiry. Because I can.

Nothing much happening down here, it's dry and bright, and if you Northern chaps could keep your wind in check, that would be lovely.

Thank you.

Stirling Moss was at the NEC Classic Car Show a few years back for an autograph signing session. There was quite a long queue, so I didn't bother.
I couldn't understand why Stirling Moss wanted so many autographs anyway.
My eldest didn't go to Uni, wasn't for him, so he left 6th form college on the Friday and started at Mitsubishi HQ in that Cirencester the following Monday.

They sponsored the Badminton Horse Trials at the time, the company asked if he wanted to be involved, so asked my opinion, to which I said of course. So they put him to work driving top of the range Shogans around (which at 18 he's never be able to drive) and he had to pick up Stirling Moss and others from the train station. Apparently Stirling asked him if he's stolen it and suggested the throttle wasn't an on/off switch biggrin

He had a happy week also driving Warriors off road delivering stuff around the Estate whilst chatting (and dating) some of the posh totty

Gosh I can’t believe it’s nearly 15:00. Time really does fly when you’re not earning money. I’ve been cleaning all morning as we have a guest arriving on Friday. I’m half way through. Just grabbing some luncheon.

It’s been quite tiring trying to keep the wind under control up here though.

To be fair Byker I feel blessed just having had the one!!!

Had to dive into a car wash on the way home, the seagulls at work appear to have targeted poor Ivor today. frown

Good evening all.
Old Magoo is very busy at the moment, main reason being i thought it a good idea to completely decorate the lounge as a surprise for Madame M for when she returns from that there Norf Norfolk.
A beamed ceiling means uber amounts of cutting in etc. There was some filling and making good along with a complete colour change that takes three(3) coats of emulsion to cover.
Curtain rails, furniture and rugs all to be shoved about.
I’ve completed half now so tomorrow it will be attack the other half starting by moving all the furniture up to the other end that’s finished.
To top it all, yesterday mid decorating my local friendly farmer called round and asked me to clear a trailer load of free wood out of a barn for him but had to be done straight away.
Of course Madame M knows nothing about the decorating and thinks I’m just busy cutting grass and walking agent M!

Meanwhile Big V is very well, thanks for asking GR. She at this moment is on her way to Peterborough to watch a concert featuring G4 ? She’s gone with a neighbour so Gill is meeting a pal for an Indian meal.

Agent M is most put out with all the decorating upheaval! I’ve put it off for too long to be honest but the kick up the jacksy for me is that my lifelong pal and his wife are coming to stay for a week in July and he just happens to be and excellent painter and decorator. So I thought I had better shape up a bit.

Retirement!

Yes, of course!
Taking the cure involving relish must perforce, be in an institution, and no mistake.

Glenners suggested a couple of places yet googalfoo has drawn a blank?

Not at all a joking matter; Patum Peperium should be accorded the full respect due to all those English savouries courses that don’t get served any more.

Or, indeed, cinnamon toast for those of sweeter tooth.

Harumph.

One year I grew tomatoes and chillis. The crop was so successful I didn't know what to do with it all. Tired of fresh-tomato-with-everything, I started making tomato chutney. What to do with the chillis? I decided to make hot tomato chutney on a sliding scale of hotness to see which we preferred. The hottest, which was mostly chilli, was too hot to use as chutney. And I'd made rather a lot of it. We took the too-hot-to-eat chutney out of the jars, liquidised it, cleaned the jars, boiled up the liquidised chutney and re-bottled it. Holy fking maroley, it was hot. I liked it. The girls loved it. They are big fans of hot sauce. We called it Ungentlemanly Relish. Supplies were quickly exhausted. I don't know why I haven't made any more. The girls said I should market it. I know I could sell two bottles a week st least.

When I worked in Sheffield I went to look at the Henderson's factory and bought some relish.
