Don't be deceived the sun is quite strong when it's out but the air temp is chuffing cold

I was walking the dog at Thorpeness this morning. I was fully togged up in the very cold breeze. I was even sporting gloves.

As I leaned my way into the headwind I noticed a chap walking towards me. He was wearing shorts and a t shirt.

What is it with those kind of people? Do they not check the weather beforehand? Or, is it a mindset that says 'It's Spring. So, t shirt and shorts for me until September'.

I have a friend who loves in Germany and does a lot of walking. He says German hikers have distinct wardrobes for the seasons and wear them based on the calendar, not the weather! He turned up for a walk on a glorious Autumn day in lightweight gear and they all berated him for inappropriate clothing because it was October. They ignored his many references to the weather forecast and general pointing to the clear blue sky and bright sun. By lunchtime they were all sweating cobs but still refused to acknowledge he'd made a good choice! rofl

Come to think of it, the man's dog was a German Shepherd.

It's been that way with German hikers ever since a group of them were caught out by a combination of inclement weather and inappropriate clothing on a sponsored walk to Moscow in late 1941.

A 15 degree swing in ~100 miles is pretty cool.

Sadly I'm closer to the 10 degree part than the 25 degree part hehe

I'm right on the cusp of the change. Will be making a pilgrimage to the warmest local place for the day.
