Yes.

I would write a letter to the Lodge setting your regret and reasons out to add to your verbal communications. Will set you in good light for 3-4 years time when you feel you may have the time again. Do bag up though before you put in the next application wink
You make it sound like a job application, what's the hourly rate?

No, just doesn't appeal to me, it might in the future, never say never but right now, I have work, cars, playing live and recording music, resto of of a country house, and tatting with ride on mowers to keep my time sealed up, then there's the misses!

So, any new recruits out there?

Whilst searching for this thread, I did find the bollix on the Jimmy Savile thread that makes me wonder where I went wrong, as I am neither powerful, important or in the legal profession, but the link to the Inibriati sounds like something I would join.

Not sure how many are still following this thread, but I have just been told that one of the poor sailors missing of the US is on the square.

In the spirit of the Tyler's toast, anyone want to sign and spread the petition?

Whenever I have to do any toasts or speeches a line that I sue always goes down well:

"May the roof of the lodge never fall in, and the brethren below never fall out"

Finish with that, and pretty much whatever has been said before will be thought of as a good speech... ;-)

Can't really see a problem with it, it also includes trades unions and other groups.

Installation night tonight. I'm moving up to SD.

Should be a good night as we have the PGM and the last 2 past PGM's coming, an assistant PGM as well as a past deputy PGM.

Next meeting is a raising so plenty for me to swot up on.

not really

unfortunately some immature and / or bullying types will use their membership of any organisation whether , Masonic, Union, Golf club or what ever as a tool for leverage among others , the 'problem' with the Masons is the way in which some of their rules are phrased which on first reading ( and when the bullies are pressuring people ) mean that they should cover up for each other. It only takes a couple of the bullies to be in a position of power at either the lodge or in an external organisation for a culture of Masons 'looking after each other' to the point of being detrimental to others and /or the service to take hold.
