Do possible talks behind the scenes do that, if we assume they took place? I don't know, I really can't see it. I think it was a case of the Spurs players trying to get one over on Arsenal by bottling it more than they usually do. But jokes aside, a professional football manager of Redknapp's calibre can surely deal with such things. Fergiepie and the Man Utd squad blew an 8 point lead close to the end of the season FOR THE TITLE to Manchester bloody City. I don't want Fergiepie to go, the absolute opposite, so you should want the same for Spurs surely if they're going to continue fighting for top 4? I don't quite know what you're expecting but a change in manager won't help IMHO, I reckon scrotum face should stay if you're fighting for 2nd/3rd/4th next season.

Sorry CIE , i couldn't give two hoots for Man utd or Man city & i couldn't really give a toss whom won the league , blowing 8 points or not , doesn't bother me . what does bother me is that we have not qualified for the Champions league when we should of at a canter , it obviously bothers mr Levy as well . No offence sir , but it's easy for you to give advice for our club but unless your a spurs fan you really have no idea what it's like to support a team like ours , but please carry on sharing your opinions . Seems no coincidence that the majority of spurs fans i know want Harry out , even though he has given us probably the best seasons for quite some years , we know he's done a great job ( he keeps telling us so ) & we have played some superb stuff under him, yet most of us want him out , Seems strange doesn't it , but i suppose thats the spud way .

Christ, BCM, you think your beloved Spuds have it bad? Spare a thought for the Hammers, there is always someone worse off. We get to look down and pity Charlton, Palace and Milwall I really think you boys need a head-check. Regardless of squad, Redknapp had your team playing extremely well, in fact it was the squad depth that put paid to your season. You lot seriously should not wish for him to leave, it could potentially unravel your entire squad. It wouldn't be the first time, either.

You've missed the point with the league thing. My point was not about who won the league and how but all managers have their teams screw it up sometimes. The solution is not to sack them IMO, the squad (if you keep them together) will have learned from last season, they can move on from it in my opinion. But you say I don't know what it's like to support a "team like yours" (whatever the cactus that means) then I am quite happy to not support a team like yours, because it sounds very odd to me. I agree with Moggy, you need a reality check. The squad with manager included should use it as experience to not do it again, it's a long term game.

You are right of course , just that it hurts real bad that we blew it , i just wish Harry had either said ye or nae that he wanted the england job . we may never have the opportunity to finish 3rd again with the crazy monies being spent by the top clubs , I'm just a passionate die hard spurs fan that wants the best for his team & more so want people involved in my team to show commitment & the same kind of passion i do . for me Harry sadly does not & thats why i want him out . Think i preferred the BMJ era tbh , i was gutted when he got the sack

Spurs will still be in the mix next season, as will Chelsea, Citeh, Utd and the Arse. Your players won't just stop playing, they will want to push on. Obviously a couple of signings will help you move up but with the cash other teams are chucking about (not just the usual suspects) who knows who you will end up with...

Black can man said: what does bother me is that we have not qualified for the Champions league when we should of at a canter Isn't the reason for that because 'Arry got you into that position? When you were one off the bottom when he took over, were you worried about CL football then? Or more worried about playing PL football the next season? With respect, if you look at the Spuds players, and then look at the Ar5e players, they should have finished above you! They're better than you are. The fact that you were ever 10 points ahead was only because they started so poorly. You finished 4th when you had the 5th best team in the league. Chelsea finished 6th with the 3rd best team. We should have more to moan about than you, but 2 trophies have distracted us somewhat.

The facts are (rare in a football discussion) that succesful sides so not spin their managers every five minutes. Chavski being the exception that proves the rule. Harry though showed such tactical ineptitude at key points in the season - I'm thinking Villa - that even I think his time is up.
Moyes, Moyes and Moyes.

TtWK, our squad is much better than Arsenals, bar RVP and Vermaelen none would get in our first XI.
We finished 4th because Harry took his eye off of first team affairs.
And as for us being bottom when he took over, do any of you really think we would have gone down that year, honestly?
Harry has done wonders for team spirit and morale, unfortunatlely his tactical nous and abillity to change things mid game are the qualitiys that seperate him from being a great manager and a good manager.

2 points from 12 matches wasn't it. Or something like that. The championship is full of teams too good to go down.

All I know is that Spurs were awful, and as has been said clubs that "are too good to go down" have gone down before. Almost every club in the Top 6 had a blip against teams that on paper they should beat. Ours lasted a game or two too long compared to the others. There are pretty fine lines in football, and it's only because Chelsea somehow won the thing that 4th place wasn't good enough. IMO get his contract sorted, keep all the players, make a couple of key acquisitions and 4th place should be the minimum.

Don't get me wrong, Harry saved our bacon, I don't think we would have gone down but our squad would have been decimated in the transfer window. That aside, we don't owe Harry a living, he isn't going to progress us as a squad any further, he isn't getting any younger and we need a long term manager to see us through what will be a tough few years for the squad and the club as a whole, I don't think Harrys the man for the job.

I thought finishing 6th but being the 3rd best team in the league was rather comical too Seems that Chelsea are about to appoint RDM as permanent manager very soon according to the radio , There will be some cracking games down there next season with his brand of exciting football great appointment for Roman , getting a yes man , no doubt on the cheap too , surprised the it's not been mentioned on the very popular kings of europe thread
