He knows how to score a spectacular goal that's for sure. I've seen him play for Crewe. He looks quite handy to be fair but against league 2 opposition is obviously easier. I've seen a few of his goals - the one at Wembley was no fluke, he's scored some quite epic goals this season (check out the goal against Gillingham on youtube). He's also played for England u-16 and u-17 where he scored a good bending free kick. I believe he is originally a midfielder but has shown promise as a striker, being Crewe's top scorer this season with 16 goals. He's just 18 but I think he shows signs of becoming a top player and if he's coming in cheap, then it's really small change to United and worth the gamble. I'm sure Fergie won't jeopardise United scorelines if he doesn't show the right kind of ability so I reckon it's a decent signing. I hope it works out for the lad. Who knows, he could be a star. I know plenty of top Premiership clubs have been chasing his signature and I also know he wanted to go to United. If he was £20m, it's a risk. If it's c£4m as has been quoted, I reckon it's a good punt.

My neighbour is a City fan and yes he is a complete T T. For the last 12 years he has said sweet FA about football but suddenly in the last few weeks has taken to walking around in his garden with his young son talking about the red scum side of Manchester. What a tosser he sounds. My better half has pointed out that on a recent South Cheshire tour of Garden Centers she saw quite a few people walking around in City shirts and that all of the shirts were too small as if they had been dug out of a draw from years back. Oh dear....stand by your team and all that. I take it you have not congratulated him on his team being champions of england then I'm of the opinion that its good that City are strong again for two reasons. a. Its realy spiced up this last season and b. It will drive Fergy on as it has in the past when Arsenal and Chelsea got good again. I've congratulated at least two City fans (complete stragers) so dont have a problem with that but I have major issues with the t!t next door so he's more likely to get punch in the face than a pat on the back.
