So, just so I understand this, spurs end the season trophy-less and in the Euro League and we end up winning a cup, runners up in another and are also in the Euro League?
st as we are that makes me feel better.
Not quite, you finished 17 points behind us. You're correct about one of those stats though, you are st.st as we are that makes me feel better.

Well last night you said we had a shelf, so a cabinet is an improvement.
..and those Milk Cups are two a penny, Birmingham won it last year ffs.
Oh and another thing we've got a manager.

The manager that most spurs fans seem to blame for the failure to have a successful season. The manager who you all seem to want to have sacked. ..and those Milk Cups are two a penny, Birmingham won it last year ffs.

Right now, that doesn't seem to matter. Also we have optimism whereas I wonder if you feel slightly st along with the thought you might be losing some players, your best ones.
Optimism? Potential big names going according to the press, particularly if the austerity measure are truthful. Pommygranite said:

As long as Levy is steering the ship he'll know exactly what to do with Harry.

We will find the right man for the job before the start of the transfer window.

Where did your debt go?
Paid off.... I thunk you would have known that So, back on topic, if the owners are going to bring in economic measures, because of the lack of CL football, how do you think it will affect the players, management, and your ability to attract players?

I think the fair play rules will hit harder, our owners haven't come out and said there are any economic measures? its all paper talk.
Its going to be an interesting summer again

I thought so... It is a bit of a tangent, but was wondering how any Liverpool fan can complain about Man city when their substantial debt has been paid off with money not from their 'business side', if you see my point. All this talk of making money by merchandise, and success on field is actually nonsense then, isn't it? Someone has come in from outside, and injected a hell of a lot of cash. What was your debt? 125 something million, or there abouts? That has just gone now, like magic.
So, back on topic, if the owners are going to bring in economic measures, because of the lack of CL football, how do you think it will affect the players, management, and your ability to attract players?
Was some of that debt because the first batch of Americans effectively bought the club with a mortgage a bit like the Glazers? So, back on topic, if the owners are going to bring in economic measures, because of the lack of CL football, how do you think it will affect the players, management, and your ability to attract players?
That's not getting away from what is a rare sight - success without investment beyond what a team earns in its own right.
As for all this laughing at Spurs - let me see they put Bale and Modric up for sale and there'll be a queue of big clubs. Meanwhile we put Downing, Henderson and so on up for a sale and....
My opinion, the economic measures are for now a threat. The new manager will get 20 to 30 million plus sales. With a bit of luck Downing will have a solid tournament and someone like West Ham will be in for him. Offload some of the other rejects and we'll have a budget of 50 million plus.

The laughing at Spurs is mainly down to their fascination with Liverpool on this thread, they come in here time after time, telling us how bad we are, yet they have won the square root of f*ck all. Aint Karma a bh?
Downing will hopefully be let go, cut our losses and move on. Henderson should be kept for at least another year and hopefully more. I believe there is a Liverpool player in there somewhere.

So you pick 2 of their star players and compare them to 2 of our less then fantastic new signings That's not getting away from what is a rare sight - success without investment beyond what a team earns in its own right.

Don't you think their would be a queue for Suarez or Agger ? More of a realistic comparison.

I picked 2 of their players that are likely to be looking to leave. I'll take it you agree with me regarding the players i mentioned that play for us though Don't you think their would be a queue for Suarez or Agger ? More of a realistic comparison.
Those who are looking to make Spurs' misery worse could of course remind them that it was Liverpool that helped bring this rule in that's got them to lose their Champions League place.
