Was some of that debt because the first batch of Americans effectively bought the club with a mortgage a bit like the Glazers?

Those who are looking to make Spurs' misery worse could of course remind them that it was Liverpool that helped bring this rule in that's got them to lose their Champions League place.
Ahhhhh the good old days when Liverpool would regularly qualify for the Champions League. Raja said:

Torres isn't happy at Chelski according to Yahoo sports but how many Reds would have him back at Anfield to partner Suarez??
Was just about to post the same!Apparently he's shocked at Chelsea's fickleness!

Wouldn't want him back, entering the twilight of his career and a mercenary.

Andy Carroll looks a better player at the moment so no thanks.I appreciate it is only in the last few games but compared to Torres it is a no brainer.

I picked 2 of their players that are likely to be looking to leave. I'll take it you agree with me regarding the players i mentioned that play for us though
Glen made a very valid point - why compare 2 excellent players who may be looking to leave as they are CL quality and would attract world class teams to bid, with 2 players some fans want to ditch for having poor seasons or not be good enough quality. Hardly an apples to apples comparison is it?And given our manager issues I still find it odd that so many spurs fans want to ditch HR given where he has taken them, and some of the excellent football they played this season, yes they has a bad blip at the end, our blip lated all bloody season.

Bale plays on the left 'same' as Downing. Cost less as well I seem to remember. Modric plays in midfield, allegedly what we paid upto 20 million for Henderson. How much was Modric by the way?No I don't suppose it is an apples for apples comparison is it

Messi plays striker, so does Grant Holt. Shall we compare them?
The lad across the road manages an under 11s. Shall we compare him with Dalglish. Pretty much the same use in comparisons as your suggestions. Meanwhile next season Spurs and Liverpool are both in the Europa so my comparison whilst relevant clearly touched a nerve.
Go remind me what our differences were on our previous manager, most of his signings and the likelihood of our seasons outcome.
Did I tell you HR how much I'm loving the Dalglish free zone that is Liverpool FC?
So FSG have made a pigs ear of the new manager search - who is advising these guys - initially I was told they had a formula and Martinez was a perfect fit to this however I'm sure someone has called Henry and said "perfect fit but a crap manager for the reds H".
So FSG look further afield, raise the age bar and get a few more candidates, none suit the reds but all are mentioned in detail to the papers sadly.
Now AVB a sort of Martinez turbo gt3 type of guy with obvious past bullied child syndrome and napoleonesque mentality is our darling.
I'm underwhelmed, LFC can't afford a duff season in 2012/13 we have to hit the ground running, let's all hope that by system or fluke we get the right man.
