Got off to a flyer up 2-0 after 10 but then Derby scores and it was all inevitable. Spent the rest of the game hoping not to have Blackpool or Lincoln in the PO semis and looked nailed on for Oxford but then Barnsley swapped. We got murdered at Oakwell a couple of months ago, hopefully this time around better and likely meeting Posh again at Wemberlee....

We were on for the playoffs at the very least until the new year when we lost our onlybest striker to Ipswich. And basically downhill from there.

So mid-table, with a +9 goal difference. I think the nearest to us is 0, so shows how we had a strong first half of the season.

And last game at home today against Walsall. So that's another 3 points droppedrolleyes

GloverHarry did this game today, nice for him to end his season with a six goal thriller.

I wish I'd known, as I've have met up with him, say hello, beer, whatever.

And as you say, a 6-goal thriller. Today was the best I've seen us play this season. And what was different was that we did not resort to the usual 'hoof' it up the pitch. I'd have laughed at you if you'd said we'd win 5-1 yikes

We'd be safely in the play-offs if we'd played like this a few times this 2nd half of the season.

Ho hum; finishied 10th

I think you'll be too strong for Barnsley; they can play some good football - 3/5/2 I think - but their defence is suspect. They've conceded more than anyone else in the top half. They're one of those "Which version of their team will turn up?" sides. In addition they've just sacked their manager: advantage Bolton I reckon.

I fully expect you to meet Posh at Wembley, another hot and cold side. Hopefully you'll smash them, and I'll enjoy watching Darren Ferguson giving snivelling reasons why his team should have won: "Yeah we lost 4-0 but we should have had at least six penalties. And the Bolton fans were too noisy today. It's just not fair!"

Errr, POSH have never lost at Wem-ber-lee but there’s always a first time. Ferguson has got many excuses - it runs in the family - but he’s been manager so many times people just let him get on with it … biggrin

Well we made heavy weather of that but bring on Wembley. Pity I can't attend for health reasons, will be the first big game I've missed in several decades. COYWM.

All league 1 & 2 teams will appear live on Sky at least 20 times and Championship teams 24 next season with their new contract with the EFL.

All opening day fixtures will be live. No Saturday 3pm games blackout to continue. 5 league 1 & 2 fixtures each weekend.

There is something called Sky Sports+, which I assume will be a streaming channel.

Second leg for POSH tonight - one nil down to Oxford. Hopefully they’ll come through … not that I’m a fan of theirs but living in the city it’ll be a boost for the club to be in the Championship …
