caraddict said: They deserve more attention. About fifteen years ago at Aston Martin Service in Newport Pagnell one Saturday I remarked at the condition of a newish, low mileage, Vantage. It was awful. The paintwork was scratched, the paint on the edge of the bootlid was flaking off from energetic slamming and the interior defied description. They told me it belonged to a City trader who owned a retreat in the country. When he came in on a Friday, he planned his Saturday walk and on the Saturday loaded the dog in the car and drove to his chosen bit of country. He and the dog then had a few hours walk and then climbed in the Aston and drove home. Picture the dog shaking himself and you'll get some idea. When I remarked that, with his money, I would have a Range Rover for dog walking and the Aston for best, they replied, "Well, er, it's his car."

GTO i think It's a 1969 Firebird as mentioned above. It's not a Transam, there were only around 700 transams that year and they were all white with two blue stripes. 7 were convertibles, you can imagine how much they a worth now.. Quality beardage, except it's registerd as a '73.

Armstrong Whitworth, from Beamish - technically cheating 'cos it's a) in a garage, and b) in a museum. Soume sources say it's 1/3 surviving, a couple of others say it's a replica. Either way, it's glorious

I saw a late 80s/90s bentley coupe last week which looked great too. They really did make a wrong turn with the current conti GT IMO, although Bentley won't think that as they have sold a lot of them!

sorry for no pics, but a DB5 or DB4 followed by a red Merc 300SL Roadster on the A1 at around 10am, and later on near London Zoo a silver E60 AMG, no idea how rare they are.
