I took a road trip was last September, I took my 4year old lad to the Frankfurt motorshow on the way back we went to the nurburgring did a lap then came home to Hernebay via the tunnel, left home at 3am back home by 3am. Around 900miles in my 100hp. Great but long day and my lad loved it.

Bit measly I'm afraid:
High Wycombe - Tobermory (Isle of Mull) approx 501 miles, completed many times and back.
The cars were: Ford Ka 1.3, then Ford Fiesta mk5 (gave me serious backache), lastly MG ZR 1.4 which was the most comfortable.
Took longer going up then back down due to ferry times. Going up 15 hours, had to wait two and a bit hours for ferry at Oban to get across.
Coming back down only waited 20 minutes for ferry then only a couple of loo stops on way.

measly is good. 500 miles is a fair trip on a regular basis.

Longest single day was 1150 miles from Denia in southern Spain to London to qualify for the Iron Butt award (1000 miles in <24 hours).

Longest road trip was London to St Petersburg round trip...approx 4500 miles in 10 days or so.

Both on BMW motorcycles.

Oxford to just south of Klodzko in Poland is my longest single day run. About 980 Miles in an E39 540.

Regularly do the 860 miles from Oxford to Pavia (Italy) in one hit.

I forget the exact mileage, but over 5000kms in a rental Fabia 1.4. It was over 12 days, starting and finishing in Bratislava and taking in Hungary, Romania, Serbia and Croatia along the way.

At the Transfagrasan pass:

Brilliant trip and I couldn't have asked for more from the little Skoda.

Furthest I've been in one day is around 550 miles from Kent to Lucerne in my Westie. Continued onto Sicily and back home in about 10 days, and 3600 miles. Makes me quite proud to think I have driven my car up Mount Etna!

Yorkshire to Alicante, via the chunnel and the E15 etc. 1500 miles in 26 hours all the way stopping only for bog, fuel and coffee. Lots and lots of coffee. Then did the same coming back a few days later.

Ancona Italy to London 1050 miles on a Honda CBR1000 in ~15 hours. I was in terrible leg pain before Calais... Sprint, stop, stretch, sprint... Never again.

I had to think about this, but it was Wigan to St Aignan in France circa 631 miles.

Must try harder.

Reading to Zeeland (holland) only about 350 miles, but on the way back we travelled through the snow and it took us 8 hours to do the 230 miles to Calais! I have never been more tired in my life! Driving through the snow really takes it out of you!

A grand total of around 30-35 miles.

I really feel the need to go somewhere far away but petrol prices always kill that idea.
