Fordo said: at the risk of being labelled an old fart, i bring you: the rover 75 coupe concept. I thought it looked rather good +1. A curious Euromillions idea of mine is to turn a ZT 260 into one of these

Ok not as "wacky" as some of the cars on here, but I thought this would have had a small market, had VW put more time and money into it.

I'd never heard of the Peugeot Oxia until 5 minutes ago! Big fan of that. The Jaguar C-X16, because it's beautiful in the flesh and likely to be actually made (jag tend not to water down the concepts too badly either) Also, the Mazda Furai because LOOK AT IT.

This must have been the ultimate pre-WWII concept car. Imagine seeing this on the street amongst the humdrum dross of the era. People must have thought that the Devil himself had come to town! 1938 Phantom Corsair

LotusOmega375D said: There's been hundreds down the years, but which one stands out for you as the most memorable? For me it will always be this invincible Top Trumps offering: 1970 Ferrari Modulo. A 5 litre V12 512S race car chassis clothed in Pininfarina's astonishing one-off futuristic bodywork. Sure it might be tricky to park at Sainsburys, but 42 years on, can anything else match it for drama? I clicked on the link and while waiting for it to load was scouring Google for an image of the Modulo. I go back and wham, you read my mind! I'll add the original Countach prototype, unfettered by any practicalities like cooling vents: and the Marzal, forerunner to the Espada, which makes all modern 4 door or 4 seat supercars look like the fat bloaters they are:

Fair enough, I knew they made a few and let people run them - didn't know it was classed as a prodution run though; always assumed it was a concept that they made a small number of to trial. I know Jay Leno has one, must be the one they didn't crush! They do run on practially any flammable liquid looking into it; they even ran one on Channel No.5!
