That M5 looks brilliant. Look at how huge the windows are, its a shame cars are not like this anymore. Nowadays its like the window line is up to your chin!

Great video and great car, review of the e36 m3 evo is in order, horribly overlooked yet brilliant car and criminally cheap these days!

I've always liked these cars. BMW have always been a great 'almost marque', so very often nearly making the best cars going. Mind you, their performance saloon efforts have always been giving a right razzing by the Ford Sierra Cosworth, but I must applaud them for soldiering on in the face of such competition.

The thing that strikes me is it's size. Compare this 5'er to a new 3'er and you'd get quite a shock! Cars really have got big and bloated!

Does it have any needless ornamentation? The kidneys? Anyway just watching it again, I forgot to mention the birdsong last time.

How about a follow up, later on? Maybe talk about it as if it were a long-term tester? School-run, shopping - anything. I just want more Monkey in his M5, plus it would keep you honest about driving it more, if you have to update us about it.
I know, I'm jealous. If I were you, I'd probably be licking the steering wheel when the crew wasn't looking.

Great vid, M1 road car next please, as originator of the line and I believe engine donor to your car, it's got to be in there. Would then like to see the original M6, preferably on the autobahn, then around a few Schwarzwalde twisties!

Great video, thanks Chris.
I'd like you to do one on the Z3M coupe, M3 CSL and an early e30 M3.
Something that lots of reviewers rarely do however is look at some of the modified cars, I.e, my Z3M was terrible on the stock suspension, on the AC coil overs with H&R ARB's, it's a different car - you're welcome to have a go.
Can't wait for the next one.

Great video. I especially like the line 'I get off on owning this car'. I think I have this problem, I rarely drive my toy enough, but can't ever imagine selling it, but then every now and then I think I will have to sell it at some point, after all I'm not going to be able to drive it when I'm 80, so when does that time arrive...

You should be driving the car what makes you happy, just like the M5 makes Chris happy. I used to have a E34 M5 few years back for few months. I liked it quite in the same way Chris likes his, even though its not the 100% minter, when it is mechanically sound, it's enough.

I took my E28 for a drive last weekend (currently a lowly 518i) and although it was impossibly slow, incredibly knackered and mildly dangerous, it was also thoroughly charming. Once this summer's restoration/upgrade project is complete on it, it should be all the car I need. As for the next video - if you could arrange to get one of each generation of M car and have a straight line race of E30 vs E36 vs E46 vs E92, and E28 vs E34 vs E39 vs E60 vs F10, that'd be great (and might shut a few people up )
