Someone who understood the thread Arj256 said: Shouts Clio Williams to me (Hopes I'm right) Mr Happy said: Whilst not strictly a wheel, there's no arguing that moon discs aren't iconic... (although they look crap on the mini above, imo!!) But as they've been plastered onto loads of cars you can hardly achieve the aim of the thread OP's intention was for example of where you look at a wheels and instantly identify the car roling on them I'll chuck a few into the mix 1. 2. 3. Aftermarket are unlikely to ever feature in this thread

No.1 would look great on this, spotted yesterday; No.3 looks like a DeLorean. Can't picture what No.2 should be on.

mwstewart said: They may not look like much now, but as a design they were significant in shaping the design of many other OEM wheels. Vauxhall evolved the design slightly for some early ELITE models, and more lately for their early VXR cars: Followed by Ford: I don't think the above two wheels are iconic; they just serve to illustrate the evolution of the original B5 S4 design. I've never once thought of those wheels being in any way linked to the six spoke S4 alloys mentioned. Instead thay make me think of the older still TSW Venoms, that staple of mid '90s MaxPowerism: Also: Itself an evolution of the 19" Sport wheel from the E53 X5:

[/quote] They're not correct for the car tho. They are 18" Pegasus wheels from the later V70R. The original T-5R wheels were gunmetal 17" Titans. /geek

DHE said: No.1 would look great on this, spotted yesterday; If it wasn't wearing No'1 then did you get the full number plate - front looks like PSG kit so should really have wheel No'2 on it before it was kitted and painted green - clue there DHE said: No.3 looks like a DeLorean. Yep DHE said: Can't picture what No.2 should be on. Bet you can now

It has the correct wheels on it, i.e. wheel 1. Cheers for the clue to wheel 2.
