Still going with Fiore. If there are Triumph oily bits, that would fit too.

If it's from the 70's and based near Rushden then it maybe a Kit Car with a one off body.
A old drag racing team called Fibreglass Repairs used to have a unit in Poddington and did some crazy fibreglass bodies in the 70's for various projects including John Dodd's Beast if any of you remember that?

Dan The Beast Mk1 (before the Rolls Royce lawsuit) Images are hard to come by, but there are definitely some similarities around the rear quarters in particular. Maybe this mystery car is an unfinished Paul Jameson project ?

Beast body design was originally based upon that of a Capri, I beleive.

So the front suspension is Herald/Spitfire/TR/Scimitar depending on the size of the thing. Looking at the headlamps, if they are 5 3/4 inch units, I reckon the car's small enough for it to be a Herald/Spitfire front end. If that's true I'll be bloody amazed; all you can see is that it has suspension, with a blurry trackrod end. When you've worked on as many of those set-ups as I have, you get pretty familiar with how they look!

The car is still on the road now in Marbella and gets bought back here yearly for the MoT as the rules are tighter in Spain.

That will teach me not to read properly! OP, I live locally and would love to take a look. I have had informal SAS training from Rory down the Black Swan. He was in WW2, Vietnam and the Falklands. He worked freelance for the Navy Seals and the SAS during the 70's. He has a photo of Andy McNab in a safe in a undisclosed location that he can use as bargaining power if the authorities ever find out what he did in Poland in 1982. Apparently him and Andy had a mission so dangerous and inhumane that if the public ever found out what they did there would be outcry. He had to retire and now delivers Bettawear catalogues. So overall, I can get in take photos, leave, upload them and never be traced.

The T Boy said: I'm fairly sure that it's a 1970's kit with a Ford V6 but I can't for the life of me remember what it's called.
10 or 15 years ago one of the kit car mags ran a series of articles following a bloke restoring an old kit car which (from memory) looked like this one.
The bloke was called Guy something or other and I recall it was posh sounding, maybe double barrelled.
Google searches using this limited information are surprisingly unsuccessful. I think I've seen it somewhere before, I read a lot of kit car mags in the early eighties and went to a fair few shows.

After spending way too much time on this I've come to the conclusion that its a concept car knocked up for a stand at a show. Its about the right quality, obscure enough to have us all confused and this appears to be the only digital picture of it ever, anywhere.
Im going to go crazy until theres a definitive answer though.
