Windscreen covered in moss/filth but side windows gleaming with bright reflections, also does the rear arch look a little odd?

But it's on google earth!

Grrrrr

Well, it can't be a photoshop. A render, perhaps, but not a photoshop. The error levels are consistent right across the image:

It looks much bigger than the Montiverdi, but could just be the pictures? A lot less

Bristol could be right. This is a Britannia, which could have been in development at that time

So this could be a rough early model.

Same big flat sides, and the huge length between front wheel and door.

Loving this thread though. I've learned some interesting new cars I never knew about, and rekindled my love for Bristol, De Tomaso, and a couple of others I did know about but had forgotten due to their bonkers obscurity.
It's no Bristol. My guess is kit car / one off special.

BTW that's a Brigand not a Britannia. I know because I took that photo smile

I think it's a spoof, but cannot explain how or why, why lack of subsequent interior and/or engine pics from the OP ? I think it's a spoof.

How close is it to Rushden? I live in a little village called chelveston about 2 miles from Rushden, the BL cars that were registered either side could have been from Townsends a long serving Rover garage in Rushden, did the chap have any connection with Townsends? The front bumper is bugging me it looks very familiar but then after nearly 20 years subscription to classic and sports car I have seen a lot of chrome blade bumpers. Its really bugging me as to what it is, but if its any good surely its worth saving.

Out of interest what is the tech behind that and how does the s/w error-check? Interesting stuff.

It's called error level analysis - it looks for the artefacts left behind by the jpeg compression. If an image has been compiled from different sources, each source will have a different level of error in it. If photoshop filters are applied, they will also affect the wavelet error and highlight where the touch up was applied.

I'm convinced it's a rear car. If you turn the brightness all the way up, there's a huge duckbill splitter under the headlights and there's suspension arms visible behind the front wheel.

I think it may have been a TVR prototype/styling exercise by Fissore.

Those wheels look very wide for such an old car. Much bigger than anything you would get on a dolly.
looks to be somthing from a small company or prototype of some kind. I would say front engine rear drive. the front looks way too long for any other set up.

perhaps a version of this
