Cheap of them not to make left and right hand sets. But then I've never been a fan of Vauxhall. I had to own one once. Then again. It felt like a penance.

Have to agree with this. I have had all sorts of wheels on all sorts of cars, but as I have got older I think it rarely looks good. If I am car hunting I am put off by aftermarket or non OEM wheels. I actually removed some AMG (not original) wheels in place for some OEM ones on my old SL. Now, where's my slippers I thought this thread was about OEM wheel swaps, NOT aftermarket? Are you sure you two aren't confused? If you look at the thread title, it kinda gives it away? Sorry, "the amount of times I have discounted a car because of having the wrong (albeit the same manufacturer) wheels." The Merc on this page is an example, hassle to change, modern wheels look s t on it.

I think you are refering to one of my cars? The SLC I prefer with the Eight hole 16" alloys as they were fitted in 15 and 16" form to later 107 based cars. If merc thought they were ok, so do I and anyway....the car isn't for sale, if it was, I still ahve the mexican hats it came with. The W124 came to me with 18" Alpina look-a-likes and this was all I had (other than a set of 15 Hole 190E Cosworth alloys) that looked decent enough. Now....I quite like them. Show me a pic of your car so I can also say it looks s te....purely my opinion of course.

I'm with those saying most of these wheels swaps dont look great to be honest. Especially anything that has increase the size beyond what would have been available for the car.
That Esprit looks great though, and surely the best OEM wheel swap it CSL's on a Z4MC, probably the only car on which i would change the wheels.

That SLC looks awesome with updated alloys, I'd actually say it makes the car and it'd make me think about buying one whereas the original alloys or even the next newest SL alloys look awful.
