This @ £95k or a standard Cayenne S @ £85k? Think I know where my money would go.
That Cayenne would need options adding too though !Most Porsche models need about £20k of options to match the spec of other cheaper brands, including BMW and Mercedes.
This is the problem when buying a new Porsche .
People see a BMW i5 M60 at £90k and a Taycan at £90k and think/post why buy the BMW, when you can get a Porsche for the same cost! Forgetting the Porsche will be poverty spec and need optioning up.

As I've said many times, Porsche know exactly what they're doing in that regard for sure I reckon.

Agreed!
The options prices on Porsche's are crazy. I think I'd rather take the Tesla for half the price if I had to electric...
Agreed. I like this but a model Y will provide the same experience. With the change you can purchase a nice ICE for having some fun. The options prices on Porsche's are crazy. I think I'd rather take the Tesla for half the price if I had to electric...
I do genuinely take my hat off to you lot who can get onboard with both ICE/EV for sure though!
I'm not anywhere close yet in comparison, however I'm not daft enough to say that it couldn't happen one day though in fairness.

The great thing with electric cars is that they all look crap...so you can't lose really!
They all look crap? Don't know about that - Audi's RS e-tron GT is a good looking car, as is the Maserati Gran Turismo and MC20 Folgore models.I also think the new Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale (which will admittedly only have a few electric versions built) is pretty good looking too.

You don't need options. Have it in basic, stripped out hardcore form.
Small wheels means amazing steering feel and no options means ultimate mechanical purity.
Would the Porsche dealer tell you to p*ss off if you wanted zero options? I like the idea of a base spec 992 with the only option being power fold mirrors. If I had to add something then it would be blue paint, Turbo wheels and a light interior. Job done.Small wheels means amazing steering feel and no options means ultimate mechanical purity.

Oh Lee, just as you were doing well and almost warming to the idea.I can’t work out whether you actually believe what you’re typing or you say it to sound cool in front of the bigger ICE boys and not lose face.
It reminds me of a 13-year old boy saying ‘urgh girls smell and they don’t like football’ when deep down you did really like them, especially that girl from the year above that you got the bus with.
I do like the Audi RS e-tron to look at though, and I don't mind the Taycan either, plus I like the look of the 2 seater MG EV as well.
However I did like the BMW i3 which you hated. I thought that was the perfect city car and they did a bloody good job at the first attempt.
I'm sure you will come out of the EV closet soon...what will it take for BMW or Mercedes to do that?

3 pages in on a thread about a new EV and yet no sign of Mr Logic Nomme de Plum
Say his name in front of a mirror three times... I watched the Mat Watson turbo model review and I really like this car, it's not cheap but Porsches never are but I can see the appeal once you factor in the tax breaks for a company user.

The other things is when buyers come on forums asking how they should spec their new car. They are told if it doesn’t have XYZ they’ll struggle when the time comes to move it on. You’re living proof that not everyone wants all the trimmings.

Utterly charmless with a huge price when you add options. Retailed by somewhat arrogant dealers. They'll sell loads but I'd rather walk.
