Venturi Atlantique
yes Love these.
I'll expect elle along in a minute with her only RHD Venturi 400GT... wink
I saw one of these looking decidedly worse for wear on the back of flatbed on the M25 earlier in the year frown

to Elle .... seen you on the occasional thread and absolutely love the Venturi (saw a few at Le Mans in the early 90s ... Jacques Laffite?) which is kinda related to the Alpine

The link being the PRV engine
Have a bit of a soft spot for the Renault Alpine, but my personal favourite has to be the Berlinette cloud9

Not many purists rate the Mk3 "E" type, preferring the Mk 1 or 2, but I think the Mk 3 V12 is cloud9

I thought they were.

Wasn't one of those being touted around 90K last year? Was in Octane IIRC.

An uncle had one of these for restoration many MANY years back (well, 80s). It went from a disgusting yellow to one of the most beautiful deep shades of red that I've ever seen (with some gold flakes in the top coat to add some shine). He took me out for a blast down the M55 in it once it was up and running. I must have been in my early teens, and I absolutely adored it.

Utterly stunning.

But unloved as a whole, because people just don't know about them.

Yep. Black thing, subject of a restoration.

O/T slightly, but what ever happened to the V12 E-Type that was built out of parts a few years ago? I'm sure that was in Octane as well.

Has the guy that built it still got it or did he sell it?

A friend had a 3 litre essex engined 69 Marcos , back in the 80s we raced it against our mk1 3 litre Capris , at a little over 115 mph , he suddenly slowed down !!!

We stopped to investigate aparently the front end was lifting at those speeds that it gave him some brown trouser ""moments"".

In terms of today's supercars, I'm not sure if I'm the only one but I find these horrid.

They're just as bad in the flesh.

Ludicrously fast though.

Christ that is in good nick and at a good price!
3 people at 10k a piece you 4 months use out of it each over a year. or
4 at 8k only 3 months each.

Mmm maybe PH should start its very own supercar club. Each member donates a certain amount and ph buys a load of cars like the testarossa, merak etc .

Oh trust me, Ive had discussion with a cpl of good friends very recently about doing *exactly* that! There is a very good argument for it within a small closed circle.

I was at Longbridge in the final hours, and talking to a couple of people, the grand total of those sold outside of the dealer network and management was, at the time, 0.

Think Rowan Atkinson had one on a demo/lease arrangement though..
