Fantastic, the side profile looks good and the rear end looks great too, fron end could be modified slightly but it wouldnt stop me from buying one if I had the cash.

Whio built them, with the exception of Edonis just being the brand?

Isderas have always floated my boat. Basically a German Merc tuner called Eberard Schultz said 'well if Mercedes aren't putting the CIII into production, I will.'

The Isdera Spyder 033i was the first of the evolution. They're still in business as far as I know, building cars as and when they can be bothered, like a kind of hi-tech German Bristol. They had an option of an all-purple leather interior at one point too:

Can you tell me a bit more about this car? Seems it has passed me by and that doesn't please me smile

What Merc is under there?

b engineering in modena built the edonis, group of 20 or so ex ferrari f1 and other ex super car designers. Think it was more a design study to show they could rather than a production car though but think there are more than one.

I've got a great article on those and the Imperator from '80s wondermag 'Topwheels'.

Keep meaning to scan and host them. Must get round to it.

That particular one has a mid-mounted 2.3-16/2.5-16 Cosworth engine so it's more of a highly exclusive sports car than a supercar. The 033i was their 'entry level' - their Gallardo, if you will. Their 'Murcielago' was the Imperator, which had an AMG 6.3-litre V8, a gullwing hardtop and a periscope in place of a rear-view mirror. Later there was the Imperator 108i, with a choice of 560SCE 5.6-litre or AMG 32v 6-litre with 390bhp and 188mph.

The last car I was aware of was the Commendatore 112i, which had a 400bhp V12 and did 212mph.

I've no idea what they're doing now but I wouldn't be surprised if they were mid-mounting AMG engines. I suppose they are to Mercedes what Gumpert are to Audi, only pretty.

I always liked the Guara. I'm fairly sure there are one or two coupe owners on here.

The Zagato-styled Aston of the mid-late 80's has grown on me a lot over the years since it was in production too.
