1. The Lamborghini Jalpa.
I love these cars, and in my dream garage it would sit alongside an 80's Aston Vantage. It's another one of those cars that I dream about, and I could look at all day long. In my eyes it is just perfect.
Not everyone agrees though, and it's not the most celebrated Lambo made. For that reason alone I thought it deserved a PH discussion

Lambourghini Jalpa? Hmmmmm i had a mad thought about one a few months ago when i had some spare money going about, even went to see one at Top Gear cars in Scotland. A fantastic little car, not the obvious choice when it comes to 80's Lambo's, based on the silouette (sp?), peach of a V8 and a targa roof for wind in your bald patch.
You can buy a Jalpa pretty cheaply but there is always the chance of a massive bill as it is a Lambo from the bad old days.
You'd be surprised: the problems are well documented, their is plenty of support for them and they don't go that wrong. Carlo, like his car, is pretty straight. The only issue with that car is the colour combo. You can buy a Jalpa pretty cheaply but there is always the chance of a massive bill as it is a Lambo from the bad old days.
Finally a lot of people don't know what it is.
If you want to see a really unloved example:
You mentioned Carlo's car so I looked it up and attach details here:
£14,990
1983
59,000 miles

Absolute work of art these lil' things, the attention to detail and build quality is just fabulous. A guy came in here a few months ago in a race livery of some sort but my memory is completely failing me as to what it was!Garlick said:
The 1994 Ford Maya....never heard of it
I realise that it was a concept, but felt it was worth posting. Is it a Ford? Does it even exist?
It exists, but it's from 1984 and that isn't it. The Maya's an Italdesign wedge, that abomination is a Locus Plethore.I realise that it was a concept, but felt it was worth posting. Is it a Ford? Does it even exist?
Maya

I always thought the Yamaha concept was a great idea.
Soooo many 'super' cars are far too large and so pointless. The vast majority of the remaining small lightweights don't have a proper all weather canopy.
It's simply amazing how many manufacturers find these two basic elements impossible to comprehend. The exige and ginetta were an attempt to bridge the gap I suppose.
