Thank you kind sir, i don't suppose you remember the book? i must have been around 9 when i saw it.
Road and Track had a publication called "Exotic Cars" - possibly that? I think it was also in a book called "Dream Cars", I think by Peter Roberts. Not entirely sure about that though.

I believe this car is now back production, all the parts casting (engine was a transverse v16with gearbox drive in the middle)

In california I think
