Maybe idiocy is a bit harsh but all the stuff like: "making it look like the new M3" "It is such a stunning car everywhere you go people just start taking photos and everyone thinks it a new M3. I can tell the difference but you will be surprised how many people can't, especially as it has a private plate" "...faster than the current model... when some Muppet try's to look the big man in a v8 m3 trying to overtake and you can leave him a cloud of dust!!! and best of all: "...he tweaked the ECU map. so i now get about 380bhp" is pretty cringeworthy.

Good thing about Saabs is that they tend to slip under the Barryboy radar What a shame that you'd need to plough a shedload of cash into the IVA test to make it road legal now he's chopped the monocoque about.

I thought the idea of a top chop was to lower the roof front-to-back? This looks like a toy car that someone stood on, but just the front part...

His "mechanic friend" isn't doing his own business much good telling this guy who now tells the world that there is no point of modifying an M3 because it will lead to nothing but trouble!! I quite like the car though, it seems well done, its just the ad is a little uncomfortable to read

i have come to the conclusion that the people who 'make' these cars are no more petrolheads than people that make their own clothes are stylish

StefanVXR8 said: That one paragraph sums up perfectly the state of this country, did we just skip an entire generation of schooling? My nine year could write that paragraph without a single mistake, mind you my other half is pretty strict when it comes to homework time! I'm glad I'm not on the receiving end of it! It's possible you're talking about a member of the 'slept or skipped school and has never read a book in their life' generation (tho they're not new to this country by any means) - but it's also possible you're dealing with someone for whom English isn't their first language. Even people born here often don't have English as a first language. From recent immigrants through 'travellers' to posh families, loads of people will use a language other than English at home. R4 had a piece on last week - German Dad, French/Moroccan Mum, Dad speaks only German with the kids, Mum speaks only French or Arabic with the kids, English only used at work or in company (and even then they both repeat what they're saying in German/French/Arabic for each-other or the kids). Being bright, they'll not write crap like that - but the same thing will happen with less bright types too. Friend of mine is Italian, she came here about 10 years ago (attached to a footballer) and her job doesn't require any skills in English (or much clothing, tbh) so her texts/emails are an challenge in recognition (I read them out loud!!) BUT her spoken English is flawless!! Her car ad would read like that (if she ever sold one - usually she just crashes em). But you're probably right - what that paragraph shows, more than poor spelling, is no comprehension of sentence construction or grammar - it's spoken English and BADLY spoken English at that - that's a sign of no school and no books and no idea that other people will be judging them on it. Note: I'm not correcting any spelling or grammar in this because the Internet Gods won't permit it.
