Hijack!

Do you happen to have a reader's thread on it and is the rear cabin/ legroom as bad as all the reviews make out? The facelift interior is lovely, but everything I read says boot/ rear cabin proportions are the wrong way around! Guess it depends if you use the rear (I would) as to whether it matters...

If it’s going to be used for a commute then it would be worth seeking out one with the Intellisafe Pro pack (Adaptive cruise and Pilot Assist). It really does take the sting out of long, boring journeys.
Yes, adaptive cruise would be a another bonus. Presumably that's also not tied to any given spec level. And also not standard?

Is there anyway to know if the listing doesn't detail?
How can you tell, if sat in the car, that it has adaptive cruise control? Short of driving it in a motorway or equivalent and seeing if it adapts.

Presumably this is separate from collision detection?

I’ve tried looking but I can’t see an answer for sure. They have the same steering wheel controls with the adaptive cruise buttons and there’s no giveaway radar sensor at the front. With the intellisafe pack you got BLIS so if you can see a picture of the wing mirror it’ll have the warning system lines on the outer edge of the glass. On the touchscreen menu they’ll be an icon for the adaptive cruise to turn it off. Other than that I’m struggling.

Re heated seats there is a seat icon on the bottom left/right of the touch screen if the car has them

I have the 2019 MY price list with specifications if you’d like me to email to you?

I’ve been driving a V60 D4 manual for the pat 5 years and 70k miles.

Trouble free, high mpg average 53mpg, I’ve done a 80miles run yesterday on a busy M1 at 60/70mpg and averaged 60mpg.
A little noisy on m’way speeds but acceptable, the fan is very loud on anything higher than 2 bars, very annoying but, apart from that, very comfortable
Great safety equipment as standard and saved my Beacon a couple of time when I wasn’t paying enough attention.

Being a company car, mine is a big standard momentum in grey which has a bit of a grandad look. Choose the right spec and colour and they look very nice.
I think heated sits came from the momentum pro trim upwards but, I’ve seen leather and heated on lower specs.
The only extra I’ve paid for was apple connectivity, a £200 well spent in my opinion.

Ok, that's great information.

I was chatting to a Volvo salesman this morning and he was saying the car they had in stock has BLIS, but wasn't listed as having Adaptive cruise control. So he would need to check that! Ditto heated seats.

This after he has firmly assured me that if a car had adaptive cruise control it would me listed in the advert!

He also said it was an option on all V60s, regardless of spec, and therefore it reasonably rare. Unlike the V90 where is was fitted as standard. All of them have normal cruise control as standard.

He also said the smartphone integration wasn't standard, but that they can add it for £300. So obviously just a software tweek. They can't retrospectivly add adaptive cruise control or heated seats.

We have a V60 have had it for maybe 10 years and close to 100,000 miles it’s a 1.6d manual, heated seats, leather etc… great car 1.6 is a little underpowered we will be replacing it with another in a few years and would get a bigger engine.

It has an annoying warning that the battery is low but it has never not started I’m guessing daytime running lights, heated seats, heater, radio pull a bit of power from the battery.

Overall a decent car not too big, decent ride, 50+ mpg £30 a year tax, low insurance etc…

Yep I’ve just looked at my brochure and BLIS could be spec’d on its own for £500 so having BLIS is no guarantee of having adaptive/pilot assist.

Try looking for cars whose reg starts with a “K” as these are often ex-Volvo cars and well specified.

No thread I'm afraid. I don't use the rear seats so space, or lack of isn't an issue. I am 5'10" and average build/proportions and could sit behind myself, as it were, without any real issues, and I reckon I'd be OK on a decent journey, but anyone taller and/or with longer legs might feel restricted. I suspect the size/shape of the rear door aperture may cause problems with access if passengers aren't too nimble. The boot is certainly longer than one would expect, but perhaps just as well as the trim at the sides seems to take up a lot of space.

Probably a mix of all those, a lot from the good old days pre Covid when manufacturers would lease their cars to employees at dirt cheap rates to get reg numbers up and then dump them on the used market six months later.

Fair enough. We shall see.

It's not white, but otherwise it's near perfect.

I’ve got the blond Ieather. Still looks like new after two years. Just give it a wipe down every week or so. No muddy kids/dogs in it though!

Looked good, put the deposit down, wife if going to see it tomorrow.

It needs to be fully prep'ed yet, so there are a few little niggly things like one of the boot struts making a lot of grumbling noises, rubber door seal someone has trodden on and torn, but all due to be fixed all this coming week.

Being black, it also very much wants a machine polish to get four years worth of swirl marks out. But again, I'm told that will be done early next week, and in a way it's nice to see the paint as it came in, which is probably more like what it will look like most of its life if truth be told!

Also got some blotches around the filler, which is a bit strange. Don't know it's that's petrol that's stripped off a previous wax or something? Bit off. I'm told it will buff out...

Nice. Not sure if you're planning on putting a SIM in it or whether the dealer already has but I found the pdf a little way down this page very helpful.

https://www.volvoforums.org.uk/showthread.php?t=29...

Can't say it's massively useful but you can at least play Spotify without CarPlay using it. You may have to sign up to the forum to access the link.
