A diesel Convertible wouldn't be my usual go to, however I test drove an E93 330d years ago and I did really like it. I only missed out on it because someone bought while I considering whether to go for it or not. 
My daily is an E90 330i with the less troublesome N52 engine so might be a better option unless you don't ever need to visit the ULEZ, or like canal-boat soundtracks.
