Discounted stock Emiras...

Joking aside, there were a handful of cars at £65k late last year. There have been a trickle since. Do you maintain they are routinely sub £65k now? I don’t see the market has moved much in 6 months .
I think £65k is now the benchmark... and if you want to shift them you price them just below that.Goodness me it’s not trolling. Like many, I’ve been watching prices. As I’ve said, repeatedly, there were some cars at £65k last year. Almost 5 months into this year there are now a handful of cars at just under £65k. As demonstrated on this thread.
My point is simply that, given well over 6 months have past since I first commented on this thread, prices haven’t gotten barely any lower. Given we are now in the Spring, when prices for sports cars often rise, Id be surprised if cars start getting advertised at sub £60k any time soon.
If you think differently then good for you. What point are you buying one at?

Bear in mind at the tail end of last year the £65k cars (IIRC) were pretty much private sellers, with dealers much nearer 70k.
We've now got 2 dealer cars at £64k. Motorway are offering 2023 cars for p/x at £59k, and a SELOC member said a dealer friend bought "a 2022 Emira with just under 8k miles for 53500" (but also admitted was unsure as to overall condition). So prices are definately still on the slide.

This was at 15% priced £70k or less in late March. Call it a side, call it depreciation, the prices are coming down.

Don't know why you took such offense to the comment that prices are sliding then lol.
Just being pedantic as PH demands A slide means an unexpected price fall that's beyond the norm or what's expected. I was just trying to say that Emiras are simply depreciating at a normal rate, not "sliding". BertBert said:

That the used market is depreciating fast.
Moving from 15% of used cars being £70k and under to 60% in under two months is a big movement.
Call it what pleases you most
In the interests of light-hearted debate, you'll need to do better than that. The price moving from just over 70k to just under 70k in two months isn't in any way conclusive of a big movement.Moving from 15% of used cars being £70k and under to 60% in under two months is a big movement.
